I'm so very thankful right now. I dropped my phone and an hour later the screen went dark. I tried almost all methods. A force restart worked for a few minutes but the screen was flickering, same thing with the Tapping method. The Freeze method worked on my HTC One A9. Thanks man! But be aware folks, it all comes down to the battery. Not all batteries are the same even though they LOOK the same. Some overheat. Some are slow. Some are fast. If after all these methods you still have issues, you need to replace the battery with an OED original battery. Do not buy cheap alternatives or try and use another phone's battery. They are known to even explode!

4years later in 2024, this video helped me with the black screen of death on my Galaxy S22 Ultra. The press and hold both volume buttons at the same time as holding the power button while charging helped resolve my black screen. This was after the holding the volume down and power button for 30 secs atleast 10x and the freezer method. Thank you

if you use a smartphone, this is a must see video. But one thing: Check the Charger first before blasting your screen with your thumbs lol

Go to Settings, Display and Brightness, and then select the time you want. Mine ranges from 30-seconds to 30 minutes.

I have a S20 note ultra plus. My battery died and wouldn't charge, it was stuck in the grey charging icon. It would not hard reset or soft reset believe me i tried. I was trying for 1hr watching other CZcams vids, then I seen your vid. I did all the steps as soon as I reached the palm tapping it worked thanks a million.

@@mingkoh5660 I got my phone fixed the main reason is the mother board have cracked inside if u go to check some phone repair shop it is very expensive
Try restartig the phoe like 3 times or more ad try pressig the power off butto because it worked for me so try that method ad subscribe to me if it worked out for you :)
