Now this is exactly the kind of Nerf shotgun I've been wanting! Injection molded, realistic function, the ability to load it up with 3 foam paintballs for close to medium range engagements or toss in a short dart slug for long range shots, affordable shells, N-Strike stock attachment point, and a picatinny rail up no less! Monkee Mods just absolutely nailed every design element of the Firefly and I can't wait to order one as soon as they back in stock! =D
They are in stock, as of today, in case you didn't know! I'd get one fast though, they run out really quick...

They’re a lot of fun. A holy nightmare to clean up though unfortunately. Outdoors in medium to tall grass forget about it.

Dude.! The Retaliator Stock is perfect. Haven't seen anyone else evaluate the Riffled Barrel Attachment. Great job on video brother. You're doing good work out there. Something definitely needs to be done with prime handle.

I ordered the original clear one long ago and it's my favorite non-auto blaster! The only issue I've ever had was sometimes the shells would get caught on the lip of the loading port and not load. I want this version now too!

This blaster's stock attachment point is simmilar to that on the NERF Ghost Ops Evader, it's not just above the grip like a Stryfe but slightly behind that point so the Retaliater stock, which is so short even a kid will say it's uncomfortable, is not useless anymore!
I'd like to know how the rifled muzzle effects the spread of the. 50 caliber foam balls?
(Sometimes rifling increases the spread, other times it keeps the projectiles together.)
I'm actually considering this one. The Doom fangirl in me always marks for a good pump shotty, and the price is pretty reasonable.

I picked up one of these, however I got the preassembled version, will the fps of the 5 kg spring be dependent on the type of shirt darts used? Worker gen 3 vs dartzone pro vs dartzone pro bamboo?
If it can't be dry fired stock, is it possible to add padding to the plunger to make it dry fire safe? I know many, if not all of the Dart Zone Pro blasters are dry fire safe because they have padded plungers.

Two things I don't like about this blaster it's sold out and shell ejection is overrated in Nerf but it's still a cool blaster and I want one.

Why isn't anyone running a foam 3 blaster (like 3 gun real steel competitions run in USA) comp??? How there's pistol,shotgun and rifle type blasters available. I've said this on every shotgun N pistol review. My vicarious 3 gun dream will come true!!!.ThankQ.TkEZ>UK

would these kinda system works without shells with a slight modification?
You would need to change the whole breech and barrel system. The plunger tube seals to rear of the shell. It would probably also jam like crazy in the lift gate since the darts are so light and would flip all over the place when reloading. Anything’s possible but seems unlikely in this case.
Does anyone have the firefly and the stockade buttstock? I'm curious to see if the shells can hold onto the dart holder. Mine's arriving soon
we have gone through 2 plunger heads on this, they keep breaking. anyone got any tips or want to make one out of metal? :D

@@Terminatorbart same i still play both nerf and airsoft. i saw this fire fly shot gun and it shooting 50 cal foam balls at 300 fps i though it might work for both especially if i get the extended barrel for it and increase fps further.

Why is dryfiring bad for the blaster?
Generally it means excess wear and tear on the plunger head and rod. When it fires it smashes against the front wall of the plunger tube and can crack over time. This isn’t a problem when there’s a dart in the barrel because there’s a natural air cushion as it expels the dart.

I am thinking of getting a Nerf shotgun. Should I get the Firefly or the Spring Thunder?
I’ve used both and prefer the firefly in a lot of ways, but the spring thunder does get you ammo versatility with different types of shells. I just like the compact injection molded nature of the firefly.
Can it shoot hyper?
No. Hyper is a larger caliber than then Elite.

Yeah. I didn’t have the first version but this one seems better quality than that one with better control over the production process to have better availability. It’s crazy fun.

I have the original one and it was a bitch to put together. Cant ever take it apart because the screws suck. Cant wait to get the version 2. I preordered it. Hope this one is a upgrad from the original one.
Can’t speak for the first one since I never owned one, but the linked build guide in the description made putting it together really easy. The screws in my kit were pretty solid too.
@@AmericanFoam good im glad they fixed it. The screws in the first one did not start properly and took alot of arm strength to put in and will not come out lol. Also the trigger was to fat so it doesn't come back when you fire. The pump also sticks so you really have to put alot of force to get it to chamber a round and to get the plunger to attach to the catch to fire it. Super annoying.
