I always liked the M1008-M1031 CUCV,they are such cool trucks,it sucks that they were only made for 1984-1987.The TH-400 is the best of it's time from G.M.,and I don't care what retarded hatred others say about their engines, the N/A 6.2L is a awesome engine. These things are great for daily driving with their incredible fuel efficiency, and they make reliable work trucks,a Detroit can handle a hell of abuse and stress while still living on forever,if you take care of them.
I am restoring mine with a 6.0 LQ4 and 4l80e. These Diesels are cool novelty but if you want something you can drive every day, I highly recommend a LS Swap
Nice truck man! Ive got one I drive daily. It's a D30, it's bigger than a k30. Its actually a 1 and a quarter ton. Keep working on it and showing us the progress
t.trekker oo when it gets freezing cold for days on end and I don’t drive it I plug it in. Although I’ve never had a problem with it starting with 2 glow plug cycles. I use a 1000w block heater I got off eBay for $50 and it works perfectly
Nice truck! Thinking about getting one myself, where did you get yours? Also was that a VW in the driveway? I have been wanting to get a M1008 for fun and a VW diesel for commuting.
I'd like to have one of these. Do these make good hunting trucks? I want one to put a 76 Chevy truck front clip on with a Cummins engine or a 350 chevy
Old Croney's Garage they’re slow loud and have shitty brakes. That being said lifted and with knobbys I never got mine stuck and was in 2 wheel drive most the time
@@cjproductions1996 I can deal with slow. The I can put insulation in it to quiet it down. And I can find disk brake conversations on the internet. I guess what could go wrong lol
I Bought a 1984 4x4 Chevy Short box from Montana, Super Solid. I love these Trucks.

Cool k30. Do you plug it in for the cold weather? If so, what type of heater do you use?
