There is a pressure senor on the other diamond clean models as well.
Had it not been for this video....I would've never found this charging cable for the case.

You can but I stopped. I use the glass for charging and it looks like to store the toothbrush. But it collects disgusting scum over time and each time you want to use it for rinse, you end up having to clean it too.

I want to invest in an electric toothbrush. To those who have used this one or other brands, what is the average lifespan of these brushes?
New review. Same dunno, and not sure. Do research. Pay 100bucks more for a color?

I bought 2 diamond clean phillips toothbrushes - pink and black. Batteries stopped working approximately 1 1/2 year later. We tried to replace them but it was not easy. I contacted phillips for repair services and they did not want to do anything if there is no warranty was purchased at the time of sale. So for a $220 electric toothbrush (I paid $440) it was a pretty short life span. What got me upset is that phillips did not want to help in any way and this was the end of it. I will not buy from phillips again and do not recommend it!
You got a dud. I have an older model Diamond Clean that I bought over 6 years ago and it still works like a gem. It has also seen a few brown outs and never once hiccuped. They are very reliable and has also saved me at the dentist from getting extensive cleanings and dental work. All I hear is keep doing what you are doing. There are cheaper alternatives yes but for what it is worth I find them very worth the price and features.
Well, I had the same problem after 3 years. We bought promotion set Philips sonicare diamond with Rosa gold and black toothbrushes. My husband's toothbrush was replaced every year since it was every year battery problem, mine was working until last month. It just stopped to work and it's not possible to charge anymore. OK, we paid 300€ for 2, but I expected to use it at least 5 years.
The only thing I really like it's amazing quality of teeth brushing.
I really hope my new sonicare prestige will work properly.

What's the difference between the 9700 and the 9750 model?
It’s the same model
Basically the same except that the 9700 comes with 8 brush heads. 9750 only comes with 4 and a brush heads holder.

I visited the Philips booth at CES this week and they said there is no new one coming out this year.
