Ive lived in Japan for 28 years. Has been really good. Had no major issues ever. Plan to live in Thailand for a few years once I retire from work. Will probably never leave this place for good though. Glad you are having a blast.

Thailand is hard to beat for the price, standard, and weather. Japan is a fantastic country on so many levels. But I think the scale of language and culture differences for a westerner make it a better place to visit than live, personally. And it’s certainly more costly, albeit food cost is still competitive.
If I was considering a different Asia base to Thailand I think it would be Danang in Vietnam. Not surprised to see the CZcams content from/about there increasing at the moment.
Yeah, rent here is quite comparable to Thailand too which is cool, but the language barrier will definitely be something that would require a lot of effort..

I think Thailand is way better for younger people who like the wild side and Japan is way better for older people who want a more conservative lifestyle. My plan is to live in Thailand in my younger years and switch to Japan in my older years. I am Japanese American and lived in Japan when I was a child so I understand the pros and cons of Japan.

Another banger of a video as always but i did enjoy the edits even more on this one. Thailand next week for me for a month. Cant wait to be back and make some videos i feel like I've learnt a lot in the last 6 months since i was in Thailand. Be dope to meet u again im super keen to go out for a hour or so and get the behind the scene of how u go about making your vidoes. The course was good but a big section of it i had a good idea about already not that it takes away any of the quality of your course id recommend anyone wanting to start CZcams to take it. I think what would help me huemugesley would be going out with u for a little filming session and getting some advice and help. Uve been doing it for so long so i know i can learn a lot from it
Been in Japan for 15 years. Unless you have like $5k - $10k USD just to get into an apartment and you would only get 50% of your deposit back then yes. However you can get a work visa as AU has some special deal where they can get a 1 yr work visa to work in Hotels and other similar work. My suggestion is use your Thai condo as your base HQ and visit other Asian countries like Japan for 90 days.

Japan is definitely an interesting place. Looks like you are having a great time! I used to work there a lot, lived there 2 1/2 years too. Seeing the abandoned town was very sad for me. I used to work there very often at the Fukushima nuclear power plant and many other power plants all over the country. I have some friends that were forced to move because of the problems there, but as the Japanese do, they took it in stride even though it was devastating.
Oh wow! It was a very strange experience exploring Fukushima, honestly something I’ll never forget..

Japan looks awesome. I imagine it not being the best place to live for 2 reasons. 1: barely any English spoken( you will get lonely) and 2: not the most affordable place. But fyi I am commenting on a place I have never been 😅
Its very cheap to eat. Like any country it is cheaper to rent out of a city.

I just got back from Thailand. I have been to The Akihabara area a lot in Japan for my job. It is Anime Central. I hear Osaka is also a great area but that is on my list.
In Sapporo, Japan I remember buying a sweet potato from a Shibu Inu dog that was running the store! 😮

Best attraction of osaka: Universal Studio. It blows the orland Universal Studio out of the water, but the cost of the ticket is only 1/3. it is insane.
i watch tons of youtube, so i know: make 20 min vidoes, release them, make money, once all released, patch them together for a full length feature presentation, release again and make double money. 👌
