    This is a gorgeous album. I just finished putting all the pages together and gluing them to the album. It is absolutely beautiful. Thank you Terry for such a great tutorial. I was surprised at how much easier it was to put together than I was expecting. The only thing I have left to do is make the flowers and decorate the cover. I look forward to all of your projects. Thanks again

    Just finished watching your tutorial. It's an awesome one. Your directions on everything was so crystal clear. I love how you didn't go too fast and not too slow. It's the longest youtube video I've ever watched, but enjoyed every minute of it. This is one of the best tutorials from start to finish I've seen. Thank you for sharing your time with us. By the way, the album turned out beautiful!

    Blew out my knee and have to stay off of it for a few days. And was checking FB and now I just spent the best 2 1/2 hrs watching your tutorial. Was so easy to understand you. I love how the paper was more prominent then covered with foo foo..(seen some albums that had to much bling that the paper is lost). Terry this was so great to watch and if I do decide to make will be easy to follow. THANK YOU SO MUCH & Tamara too.

    Am almost finished using this tutorial to make a Disney album for my son and daughter in law to put their honeymoon pictures in. Just have to put the six pages in. Already put front and back cover pages on. One question, I didn't see the instructions for putting paper on page 6. I saw cutting, scoring and putting together but not where you add the design paper. I figured it out but was just wondering. I did lay it wrong so the paper which is directional wasn't correct so I had to change a few pages around but it worked out. Will have to make a video and tag you so you can see it when it's finished! Turning out really cute!

    • @TerryScrapbooking
      @TerryScrapbooking  Před 8 lety

      +nurseglenda57 Thank you Glenda, You are sooo right!! I didn't put in the segment for the patterned papers for page 6. I didn't even notice it till you pointed it out. My deepest apologies for that. I'll order some more paper and make an addendum. I appreciate your bringing this to my attention.
      I think how ever you choose to put the papers on is the right way. If it looks good to you then it's perfect.
      I'm excited to see your finished Disney honeymoon album!! ((HUGS))

    Terry, I loved the layout of this album and I'm following your cut dimensions. I'm getting ready to cut the paper and can not tell from the video what your margins are. Are they 1/8 or 1/4? Your work is some of the most beautiful and amazing work I've seen! I Normally design my own albums from start to finish and thought I would try something different. I'm loving the ease at which this book is coming together. I sincerely appreciate your tutorials and tips as well as the ease at which you conduct your tutorials. I would love to do my own tutorial's however, I'm a bit chicken lol.

    This is a really beautiful album - and I'm so glad that I didn't use up my Mon Amour paper before finding this tutorial! I can't wait to get started. I do have a question. I make a lot of albums and almost always use Ranger Redline Score Tape because I don't have good luck with wet glue (except embellishments, flowers, charms, etc.). How do you keep your pages from wrinkling and warping using all that wet glue? I hate the idea of ruining alot of paper because I've done something stupid that everybody knows except me LOL. Thanks for sharing your design - it's truly lovely.

    • @TerryScrapbooking
      @TerryScrapbooking  Před 8 lety

      +Tristan Robin Blakeman Hi Tristan, Thank you for your lovely compliments and for watching! :D
      If you use a light touch and a heavyish weight paper, (like bazzill and G45) the chance of your papers warping is greatly decreased. I use very little tape in my albums and I have no troubles. You could always practice a little with some scraps to get a feel for the glue, and to see if you like the adhesion.
      I know it! I totally understand being wary of a new way of doing something.... I hate to risk ruining paper too! So if you think you'd like to stay with tape, go for it.

    Oh my! What a surprise!! A tutorial. Thanks so much. Still watching but have to ask you if you ever get cracking of the paper when you fold it over the chipboard?

    • @TerryScrapbooking
      @TerryScrapbooking  Před 9 lety +1

      +Rosetta Jenkins Hi Rosetta! No I never get cracking. I never understood what people were talking about when they would say the paper cracked. I believe It's the glue that makes the difference. It wets the paper just enough so that it bends instead of cracking. I've always used glue more than tape, so that's my explanation... :-D ((HUGS))

    Just curious about why you use glossy accents glue to stick your magnets down? Why not use the glue you are using thru out the video? Also, is it the Alene's turbo glue or just the regular tacky glue? Thanks so much for creating such a great video!

    • @TerryScrapbooking
      @TerryScrapbooking  Před 8 lety

      +Iam Scrappy Hi Scrappy, Glossy Accents holds non porous things like metal, glass and plastic much better than the white glue dose. I want those magnets to stay stuck. :) It's Aleene’s Acid-Free Tacky All Purpose Glue. It's a non-yellowing, photo-safe glue. Hope that helps. Thank you for your questions and for watching.

    Hi Terry! I’m going to be making this album (with different paper) and wondered why you have a 1/2” and a 1” gusset for the pages? If you explained it I missed it. Just curious before I start scoring and folding. Thanks!!

    • @TerryScrapbooking
      @TerryScrapbooking  Před 2 lety

      Hi Cathy, The different sizes of gussets allow for the room needed between each page. If the 2 adjacent pages have a lot going on, like waterfalls, pockets or thicker embellishment,- anything that adds bulk, I have 1/2 inch or sometimes larger gusset. If the adjacent pages have minimal bulk, 1/4 inch is sufficient. The different size gussets keep the covers parallel with each other instead of fanning open.
      :-) Have fun creating your album!
      ~Terry

    Terry, I don't know how I missed this album for all this time! I just LOVE it. I've had this collection of paper for a couple years and never really knew what to do with it (I found it difficult to work with). I'm going to start using your tutorial to make this album just as soon as I finish my current project. Thanks so much for sharing all your marvelous designs! I do have one technical question for you. I always use Scor-Tape for almost everything. I notice that you only use wet glue. Do you ever have any problems with rippling, warping or waving of the paper from the moisture in the glue? It's the reason I switched over to dry adhesive (which is, of course, much more expensive). If you don't have any problems with the warping of the paper from the wet glue, would you share your secret(s)?!?!

    • @TerryScrapbooking
      @TerryScrapbooking  Před 7 lety

      Hi Tristan, Did you know you already commented on this tut last year?
      You asked the same question too. :)
      That makes it easy ...I can just copy and paste my answer here...
      If you use a light touch and a heavyish weight paper, (like bazzill and
      G45) the chance of your papers warping is greatly decreased. I use
      very little tape in my albums and I have no troubles. You could
      always practice a little with some scraps to get a feel for the glue,
      and to see if you like the adhesion.
      I know it! I totally understand being wary of a new way of doing
      something.... I hate to risk ruining paper too! So if you think
      you'd like to stay with tape, go for it.
      I'm glad the tutorial still catches your attention! ((HUG)) TFW!!

      Did it! Finished it up. Love it. Changed the construction a bit so that I could slide each page over the hidden hinge instead of installing separately. Hi, turns out the pages in the album I ordered naked to create your tutorial are
    6 1/2 x 8 1/2. Your pages are 7 x 9. Do you think I should just start one from scratch so I don't have problems re-sizing all the pages? Hmmmm....I value your advice! Thanks, Pat

    • @TerryScrapbooking
      @TerryScrapbooking  Před 8 lety

      +Pat Schmidt You would have to do a lot of dimension changes of photo mats and waterfalls. If you don't feel comfortable taking on those kinds of challenges it might be easier to start from scratch.

    I love this tutorial Terry. I have a question, what could I used in place of Tveck? I'm not sure if i can find in Japan.

    • @TerryScrapbooking
      @TerryScrapbooking  Před 8 lety

      +Nicole Martin Hi Nicole, Have you tried looking for the Tyveck envelopes in office supply stores? Tyvek is made by DuPont, I sort of figured they were every where. You could also see if you can order it online.
      You don't have to use the Tyveck. I use it in hopes it will hold the album hinges till after I'm long gone. But it isn't absolutely necessary. You could also try a strong but fine fabric. I haven't tried doing that so I'm not sure what to use. The thing about Tykeck is it thin and doesn't tear as easy as fabric. It's very tough stuff. But people were making albums for a long time with out using any thing. Just be genital with your album.
      Hope I helped a little. ((HUG))

      @TerryScrapbooking  Před 7 lety +1

      Thank you so much Tammie for all your sweet words. They mean a lot! And I'm so glad the tutorial is working for you! That's the best news. I buy my magnets on eBay. I just search for disc magnets, and then pick out the size. In reality I'm not that consistent about magnet size, but I checked my blog and see that I used 8mm x 1mm when I created this album. So use those dimensions when you search on eBay. You'll find the best prices come from China. It takes longer for items to ship to you from China, but they are a Fab deal. Hope that helps and Happy Scrapin! :-D

      Hi Larry, Lets see if a different version of me showing waterfall construction helps. Go to this tutorial link (Below)and watch it there. It is a vertical water fall but it goes together the same way. The part of the water fall is about 33:37 mins into the video. If you still have questions let me know and I'll see if I can write it out for you. _ Terry
