  • How to make a Knotted Headband tutorial | with FREE pattern | DIY | easy tutorial | This doesn't require a lot of sewing so perfect for beginner sewers.
I make these super cute headbands to sell on my Etsy shop - Shop Hey Beautiful. I want you to teach you how to make one today!
    Items you will need:
    1. Cute fabric - 1/2 yard is more than enough
    2. Fabric glue - I use fabric-tac
    3. 2" Hard Headband - I buy mine on Amazon
    4. Knot Headband Pattern- Click the link below to print the pattern, do no fit to page as it will mess with the dimensions. After you print, please make sure you to measure the pattern, it should be 8'' long.

    Multipurpose Clips that I use - www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...
If you had a chance to make one please let us know how it went in the comments below!

Thank you so much this is so helpful and it’s beautiful, I have a question about the slip you cut do you worry that the fabric will fray?

Can this pattern be used for 1inch headbands? (How wide is the pattern? Thank you so much! I'm going to try this if it works with 1 inch. :)

Yes it can be done for 1inch headbands! Just do a bigger seam allowance, it might not be as tight around the headband but it’s definitely possible! I’m sure it will great :)

Hi! Did you figure it out? Make sure your printer setting is at 100% not fit to page

My printer is set to 100%. But the pattern printed out to only 6 inches in length. I added 3 inches, so now the total is still only 9. How long is the pattern supposed to be and how wide please.

Since this happened at 100%, you need to set it to 133%.
The equation is 6/100 = 8/x. (Length you got over percent = Length you need over percent you need.)

Hi! Make sure to have the printer settings at 100% not fit to page, hope that helps!

Hi, I tried a few times to get it right. Instead of saving it to my phone and printing from there directly (resulting in a much smaller print size), I downloaded to a PC and printed from there.
