Some people wanted my version of Machine Gun Kiss with Kiryu's vocals pitched to match Shinada and Adachi, so I made this. I also cleaned up the audio mix. The old version is unlisted now btw.
I'm still procrastinating on a huge video project I'm working on but (hopefully) I'll get back to work on it soon.

I've done this with Bakamitai, Judgement, Machine Gun Kiss, Pure Love in Kamurocho, Today is a Diamond, etc
I just love to imagine how they get people that are not professional singers, but professional VAs to a studio to record this songs, and them having a blast doing this.
Being able to sing is actually something employers sometimes look for when casting VAs, but I'd like to imagine RGG didn't tell Shinada's VA and so he just messed around and didn't take it seriously lol
Funny you should say that. Kiryu's va is a professional singer as well. He plays in a band called Takaya Kuroda & Goodfellas.

Well a looong time ago singing was a necessary trait for both acting and voice acting, with time this faded away. In Japan still somewhat common to VAs to have singing abillities, if you search you will find out the absurd quantity of them who sing.

Fun Fact! The guy who voiced Shinada is also the Japanese VA for John Wick
I think he's also Ryu, Mitsurugi, and Sephiroth.

I remember hearing this song originally in 4 and being like "yeah this alright" but then in 5 it changed to "this song is amazing" as I did the street racing.
Y4’s mix just doesn’t hit nearly as hard as Y5’s mix. The artists must’ve really loved the song tho considering we got 3 different versions of it in Y5 lol

I think that's mostly because of the quality of the song in 4, 5 has better karaoke song quality I noticed, it sounds better somehow

Shinada is such a good second singer. You can hear him, but his voice doesn't over-shadow the lead singer (either Adachi and/or Kiryu) and gives the lyrics more oompth
His singing really grew on me, his version is becoming one of my favorites. It's so unique and full of personality.
Shinada is truly the best team player as a character, doesn't overshadow anyone and manages to keep up even with the best fighters and singers

1) Adachi's last note is immaculate
2) Shinada sings like he was born to perform this song
3) Kiryu is still a karaoke god

Regardless of any flaws the song is amazing with all characters
Well, Kiryu is voiced by Takaya Kuroda after all, and he sing quite a lot of non-Yakuza series songs.
(He also voice some of less notable characters, one of them is off-character from Kiryu so bad I literally lost it when imagine Kiryu do exact off-character role haha)

The three versions are so lit but when Adachi comes to the end he belts it out in a way that gives you complete goosebumps... and I know for sure I ain't the only one who gets the shivers to listen Adachi's final solo.☝✌🖐😘🎙

Adachi's and Kiryu's VAs are best friends in real life, they also did radio show. In one of their livestream (RGG), Kiryu's VA mentioned that he asked Akio Otsuka (Adachi's VA) to add some twist on the karaoke song.

I love how popular yakuza has become the last 2 hard years. The community is amazing, they have so much fun, and with the yakuza characters this feels like this are our boys xD. At the beginning of the pandemic you could see people saying that they had only played 0 kiwami 1 and 2, and now most seem to know who Shinada is xD, thats great! and yes, Adachi version is my favorite.
For real, I started with Yakuza 0 December of 2020 and finished Yakuza 6 May of 2021. Shinada is easily one of the best characters in the series. Glad to be part of the community :)
@@Hybrid_T I played most of games that were translated in english, I started with 0 after playing projectXZone 2, is a crossover and Majima and Kiryu are in the game, and I just thought their characters look interesring, just need to play dead souls and finish Fist From the North star, Lost Judment has been a lot of fun, just saying xD. What I like the most in 6 Is the karaoke and some sidequests.

I had kinda same situation, like started yakuza 0 (amd spend over 80 in all saves, one of them have 70) in 6th of March, and now on 17th Jule I'm only in a middle of yakuza 5
Not only that. I think RGG had one of...if not the best community in all gaming industries. And the spin off are awesome too, judgement, lost paradise, ishin kiwami. This is the beat time for being a yakuza fan
By the way, I started with the first yakuza in 2005, but when it came to ps3 I lost track of the yakuza series. And 0 pull me back in

I love how this song fit them so well. Their voices are so different yet sound so great together. Kiryu has the voice of an angel, Shinada has this realistic edge that makes his version amazing, and Adachi is just an amazing singer.

Kiryu has that type of energy where he can co-ordinate his voice with anyone he harmonizes with, Adachi has that lead singer vibe and Shinada just brings the fun to it all

What i can take from this is that Shinada is a damn good 2nd Voice, while Adachi is a good lead singer who has his own tempo and tone, which is why Adachi and Kiryu doesn't really work if you put them together because both of them are Lead Singer material
