People getting picked on and bullied hits me different because I was one of the dorky kids growing up and was tormented through school, so I definitely know how it is to be beat down and feel unimportant and worthless. But now that I’m grown and can actually put a stop to it I do not tolerate anyone getting bullied or picked on especially if they have a disability. And Arissa, you’re sister is a blessing and a gift from god, she’s more than a sibling she’s a best friend, and I wish nothing but blessings for y’all and your family. Much 💕 from North Carolina 💕

as a 'disabled' person myself, who was bullied throughout her schooling up until I went to university, and as a mum of an 11 years old now, I can tell you one thing, parent to parent : you actually can't ignore it. My parents and teachers did tell me to ignore it, but I'm 43 so those were other times. We do know better now, and harassment is better taken care of by the professionals at school etc... and if they don't take care of it, I've been known to kick some butts (verbally) now and then. I remember so vividly how I felt at this time, how I wondered why no adult ever came to protect me. I knew that what the other kids were doing was wrong, so why the adults never told them? Children will always need the same thing, their parents protection.

I'm 53 years old and have an emotional disability . I'm bullied in different ways by my own son's girlfriend . She tries to get me to hit her so she can get me arrested . Cops don't help , or care . All I can do is try so hard to ignore it but it ruins my thoughts all day and she does this on purpose . I figure she has more problems than I do and she should be in therapy as I am . You don't bully someone with certain disabilities and not expect a tragic out come . Educate yourselves ! I'm lucky because I'm not violent by nature and my life experience has afforded me the luxury to not react and try to ignore it . I refuse to stoop to her level of total disrespect and ignorance . Peace to all who may be experiencing a similar situation . ❤️ P. S. Even Hollywood puts out movies where the only solution is for the person being bullied to commit suicide . That's disgusting . According to the credits it's based on a true story and probably is . Well, to the person and people (my own son included) who bully me , you're not worth my aggravation and you deserve to be ignored ! To everyone out there , be careful who you trust .

The Simmons Family bullied Fiona Plikingotn over a number of years and this is because her disabled daughter and the Simmins fell out. There were also incidents of her son being bullied as well. The police did nothing even with many calls made by her. She made a lot of detailed logs on the abuse everyday. It's only after she set herself and daughter on fire in her car on Leicester Road, it's on the lay-bys to Hinckley and Earl Shilton where the roundabouts are that the car was found. The IPCC had to investigate this and there was action taken against the police. The Simmins had jail time but they are still back in the community. The parents moved out a year ago but the brothers still live in the area and do cause trouble in the community house sometimes.

There were people all along in this story who could have helped and MADE A DIFFERENCE....but no one did. Its something we ALLLLLL need to really take a look at and ensure that at least in OUR family/neighborhood/or whatever...that WE will not stand silent or look away!! Any neighbor, teacher, cop, doctor etc. in the life of the one having extreme troubles could stand up and help be a voice in defending them or being a part of the solution. At this point, I've understood that this is a terrible part of human nature that we all need to fix together. None of us should shrink away from this and ignore it just because we haven't tortured or bullied someone in our lives. We at least need to educate ourselves and find safe ways to intervene in things like this in our communities and make sure that those responsible face the rightful punishments. If changing the world feels too overwhelming, at least change yourself for the better.

Yes In the uk in the village Barwell a mother and daughter committed suicide due to young teenagers bullying her and her child , the would throw rocks and food at the house , and many other things it eventually came to her killing both herself and her disabled daughter by setting a car on fire , the police did nothing and the people who bullied the mother and daughter into suicide didn't get any punishment , and now because it's been about 5 years they have there own family's and nice houses , they live close to me , and the police did nothing

There's this one amazing kid in my school. I don't like saying names but he is disabled and can't really communicate correctly. He's gotten bullied so much where he has cried for days. I eventually got fed up with the bullys and punched 3 in the face and 1 slammed against a locker. The victim of the bullying was standing there for a few seconds. I smiled and he ran up and hugged me. All 4 bullys got suspended and may not go to my school anymore. He's an amazing person and we should always be nice to people even if they are different then us. We are all human, don't forget that! Just live, it doesn't matter who you are. It doesn't matter what you look like or sound like. We all should hold hands and stand up together. Everyone is unique in their own way.. you can't change someone, we are all our own person.. and beautiful. ❤️

When I was bullied, people told me to forgive. I can’t remember how much I had to block out to try and survive. It honestly ruined me. The guilt one feels for parents and family getting involved and hurting. It’s unimaginable. Sometimes you wish you were never born or ask God why he cursed you with a mental illness that only allows you to be vulnerable and an east target. I don’t feel stronger, I just feel more broken and scared.

Here is the true information on the story you had just seen.
The mother's name was Fiona Pilkington, Her daughter's name was Francecca (Franky) Hardwick and there was a son that was also bullied by gang of youths in their neighborhood, his name is Anthony. Fiona lived in a town called Barwell, Leicestershire, UK. Fiona and her children were tormented for 10 years of abuse. 33 times Fiona asked for help from the local police department. Either no one showed up to assist her or an officer would down play the situation. The Loughborough Town Hall held an inquest as to the death of Fiona and her daughter Franky. They found that the mother had committed suicide. However, they also found that the Leicestershire Police also share responsibility for their deaths. They were horrified when a senior officer gave evidence at the inquest " that it was no longer the police's responsibility to deal with "low level" hooliganism and abuse." After the criticism by the town hall, the police chief apologized for failing to render assistance. No action was taken against the police department.
How long is it going to take for people to stand up for what is right instead of turning a blind eye to evil and wrongdoing? Just think if it was you that was being bullied; wouldn't you want someone to stand up for you? Then you should understand that feeling and do what is right and stand up for those that can't stand on their own.

Chill Player If you help an ostracized kid, be prepared to be bullied along with them because that's exactly what I did a couple decades ago. It was a heavy blow to my moral compass, to say the least. If you find the courage to try, anyway... I hope you have better luck. A bit of advice: If you befriend the ostracized, don't ever betray them when the going gets tough. You won't be able to return to a normal social status even if you try. I learned that the hard way.

As. The mother of a disabled daughter, there were so many times I wanted to quit and do what the mother did. But I confronted the bullies, the parents, the schools, the education authority. I reduced kids to tears when I told them the statistics of them having a child with disabilities or an accident that caused disability. I made teachers and the headmaster cry when I told them how they failed my daughter and every disabled child in the school. I pressed charges against a girl who kicked my daughter in the chest so hard she left a large black bruise-luckily not breaking her sternum. Nothing came of it because she was 12-but it scared the hell out of her,and her mother moved her to another school. I moved my daughter to another school that was better. I was referred to as “scary mum” by the bullies. Nobody had ever confronted them or spoken to them like I did. Now they stay away.

I’ve been on both sides and I’m autistic. Aspergers is a form of autism. When I was in middle school I’d climb on top of a cabinet in class and howl at a student because she was pretty and popular the entire class would laugh at me and I’d enjoy the attention. They were laughing with me not at me and I loved making people laugh, I know this is wrong now and I started an anti bullying campaign at my college, proudest thing I did in college even more so than graduating. I look at this video and I know if I was there I’d do anything to make this stop I’d lose my mind this would not go unpunished. Crazy always wins the fight.

My teacher showed this to my entire social class and by the end, if not even the middle, almost all of us were in tears. He asked nothing of us afterwards except to sit in silence and write down on a slip of paper one word to describe what we just saw and/or felt. People wrote down things such as "Bullying", "Sad", and "Shocked". I remember there being so many things I wanted to say, but all I did write was "Real", because it is, and this kind of thing happens everyday. I wish this didn't happen in our time and world. But it does. And, in my teacher's own words, it's up to us, as people, to decide whether or not we want that to change.
