I don't know what to make of this game yet,but I can say that I am intrigued because it definitely seems like it could be something fun.
Question , is the limit of Pals working on your base for the entire party or separate for each player, if max limit is 10 and 2 players can only have 5 working each its kinda wierd
While im not sure, I am confident in saying that it is per base. So 2 players would still have a max of 10. But you could have multiple bases increasing this number.
I think the base number is shared, but not sure as I played alone
Don't know if you got your answer. But the pal limit is per base, You can have upto 3 iirc. So about 15 pals per base when you max level the base. So about 45 pals for one group of people.
@@madkingdiamond you can adjust amount of max pals in base to 20. without modding.
This looks pretty nice! Will probably get it eventually, but I think I'll wait for the full release before I do ^^

Is it weird that I’m most excited to try the crafting? 😅 Feeljng burned out on monster taming games but I do wanna try this game cuz I love crafting games! And crafting looks like a big part of this game!
That was my second fave part after catching all the Pals! You can craft sooo many items
I'm interested to see if this game can deliver on the long list of features and gameplay mechanics as it develops. I love the Pal designs and I think the multiplayer feature will make it very fun.

First time I’m looking forward to a monster catcher that isn’t Pokemon. Hopefully it’s fun and I also like that it seems that the monsters live in ecosystems that make sense because that’s a pet peeve when they don’t.
The game looks really fun and I’m sure I would enjoy it. That being said, I likely wouldn’t grab it right away unless it’s a good price. I’d like to wait and see how it develops further.

It looks very pretty, fun, and complicated. I love the designs of the Pals and am a fan of these kinds of games for sure.
The darker elements aren't my cup of tea although using the Pals as a living shield reminds me of a scene from Transformers Prime The Game so that put a bit of a smile on my face. Not sure if I'll play but hope those that do enjoy it.
This is actually sort of a relief to me, when Palworld was first announced there was SO much emphasis on the shock factor aspects (guns, torturing the pals, etc) I was convinced it was gonna lean so far into the edgelord side of things that I wouldn't be able to appreciate anything else they're doing. I don't mind those things being in the game, but the fact that they aren't the major focus of the game makes me so much more interested - I've always wanted further interactions with the world and my creatures in these kinds of games but most pokemon-like games I see really focus on the battling and I've really been wanting something more like this! I'm definitely keeping my eye on this now c:
You might love it cause you are interacting with your pals a lot, be it nicely, or in some unbubbly ways haha
Great review. I may try it out on gamepass but January packed with games. Then there is my backlog which includes Pokémon games and Zelda totk 😂 for the switch

dont know why everybody says "sleep at night" : dotn do it you will miss many pals since some of them are nocturnal and the ones that arent are sleeping too which gives huge catch rate bonus
In the beginning, you are so under equipped, at least till base level 25-30 so it's best to go home and sleep
It's Ealy access. I'm guessing they'll add music and story eventually

Reviews are overwhelmingly positive with like 2 hours average play time. I'm avoiding this one like the plague.💀

This feels more like a sandbox crafting game with monster catching elements more so than just a monster catcher. If I were to compare it to other games I’d say it’s sort of a mix of BOTW/TOTK, My Time at Sandrock and Minecraft more so than Pokémon (except maybe Legends Arceus cause the catching mechanic reminds me a lot of it).
Music being lackluster is definitely a bummer. Say what you will about Pokémon graphics but they always nail the music. Customization seems to be at the same level as it is with Scarlet and Violet aka, wish there was more in it. No story is what makes me compare it to something like sandboxes like Minecraft. Pokémon’s story definitely varies in quality though really enjoyed the one told in Scarlet and Violet. Difficulty settings is definitely a big W!
Probably won’t pick it up as I’ve already got tons of games to play thought definitely does seem more interesting than “Pokémon with Guns”. Interested to see how the devs support it in the future

I'm so hype to get this because I love Pokemon but the devs don't want to step up their game because it sells even if it is in garbage stage.
Pokemon went downhill after Scarlet/Violet 😭 I am new to the franchise tho and been enjoying Arceus

@@MissBubbles IMO it went downhill after black and white/black and white 2. You could argue that the designs of creatures were bad for that generation but it certainly was the last generation that felt like it was truly cared about. Edit: Creatures not preachers autocorrupt.
@@azi2g not well versed with the franchise even tho I own so many Pokemon games. I played some here and there, love Arceus and Eevee, but V/S was terrrrrible. I was sick for 3 days cause of motion sickness and how bad the frame rate and lag were
I just hope they stick with this one and don't rely on gimmick value to sell copies then drop it like they did with Craftopia.
I believe in second chances so hopefully they do better. If not, then it would be a shame
@@MissBubbles Well, this would be a third chance, but it looks more fleshed out than Craftopia did on launch so who knows, maybe it'll surprise me and hold my for more than Craftopia did. Which is a shame because Craftopia promised to be my ideal game. If you haven't checked it out, have a look at it :)
So they upgraded craftopia (that they left in a complete mess after the last big update) and slapped early access on it (again) people do realize these are the same devs? Craftopia is still in early access after 4 years..

Mmh, not really convinced about this one for many reasons: I'm not a big fan of crafting (except in Minecraft), I'm really struggling to like the graphics, I don't like the mix of realistic terrain and structures with cute cartoonish creatures, it makes the game look like a weird Unity asset flip imo. I'm also not a big fan of guns in what seems to be an otherwise fantasy looking game and I really don't like survival mechanics (except in Minecraft again lol). So it's probably a big pass for me this time. I'm really glad you did a video on it though.

Palworld in opinion is a decent game. It’s basically just your casual survival open world game. Games like these usually don’t last forever. It needs a grind, something like rust does perfectly. It is a fun game but I don’t think it will last until summer before it dies. But if you like survival games then it’s a personal choice, for me I don’t find it entertaining as much.

I dont know why this sort of games always gives me motion sickness migraines and nausea even tho they seem fun to play
Adjusting settings usually helps me (turn motion blur off, turn camera sensitivity down a bit, change the field of view, etc). Have you tried that?
I don't like the idea of having to manage 100+ animals at once. This dozen is hungry, those over there need a break, Sir Poofy is glitching out...
Def overwhelming at first but still easier than other games I played like this where you manage a lot of "citizens" or "creatures"
Feeding, resting, harvesting at base and their activities can be automated, or are automated

Saw lots of posts about AI when there is no proof (at least from what I've seen it's all just empty accusations). Would love to have the evidence that can be taken as proof of this so pls share links if you have any
Yeah, I WANTED to give this a chance but ... the clunky controls, and worse the aweful audio turned me right away.
I'm partially blind, so a good soundscape in a game is perhaps more essential to me than good graphics to a fully-sighted person.
I don't know about PC, but the console version has sound effects that are HORRIBLY low-fidelity/compressed and I just couldn't stand them for more than a couple minutes. I agree with your assessment that the soundscape is ... cheap, to say the least.
I’m not crazy about open world games so I think I’m going to pass on buying this game.
Scarlet and Violet were awful I prefer the Pokemon games before Scarlet and Violet. Like Sword and Shield and Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl.
Its probably important to point out that this really isnt a creature collecting game. Its an open world survival game , and much like ark the grinding is assisted by creatures. If you are looking for another pokemon you will be disapointed.
I played for two days and it’s a no for me. It’s not better than Pokémon.

(edit): ok....the concept of this game is *_definitely_* beyond that of Pokémon...but the execution of the game overall just isn't Pokémon level. Not yet. It's going to be interesting to say how this game looks in a few years. This is actually pretty insane. You can do so much. What a game! 🤣🤣🤣

@fazoodle7972 This game is closer to a sandbox survival game rather than pokemon. And I think, as in popularity, pokemon is still king despite the lackluster performance of SV, say what you want, but it still sold over 20 mill copies. Even if this game truns out to be good, it has a massive gap to close to get to the level where pokemon is.
@FlamingPanda01 we are talking about quality and performance. In that regard, pokemon is bottom of the barrel. This blows pokemon out of the water.

As an HSP, this game's primary "appeal" of the possibility of guns/slavery/killing doesn't at all appeal to me, and I'm guessing at least the killing part is pretty much unavoidable in this game... which is unfortunate for me, 'cuz interacting with the fellas and exploring a big ol' world with them sounds fantastic.
Well, if a wild pal dies it kinda just looks unconscious? They even move, which, while you can collect meat from them, isn't something a dead thing does.
Also, your team doesn't seem to die unless you use the butcher knife. But that's just from the footage I've seen.

Well. In terms of world design it's technically more impressive than the recent Pokemon titles.

The game already has a WEIRD amount of positive buzz around it for what looks like shovelware from a dev with a history of abandoning games in early access.
Sorry I prefer Pokemon...tried Palworld and it felt like a cruddy survival game. It definitely does not feel at all like a Pokemon game so if you like Pokemon then this POS may not be for you. It does not feel like a monster catching game at all. If you like Pokemon - try Tem Tem... if you don't then maybe try this I guess. Personally I kind of hated it.
I personally had a blast playing palworld, there were somethings I was disappointed with, but for a Indie games studio I pretty good😊
