This Cactus Farm is very easy to build and is a nice addition to your Minecraft world!
It works on Minecraft Java Edition 1.20.4

This is the Xiumavoid design from several years ago.
I've been building a very similar design since at least 1.13, possibly 1.12 - but my current design incorporated a trick from Illmango's "cactus science" videos to improve the throughput a small bit.
I use smooth stone SLABS for the floors above the first floor, though any slab will work equally.
I prefer green glass to clear, but I've also used other items like cobble for the early starter stage.
Cactus AVERAGES about 1 "grow" every 17 minutes - waiting 5 minutes is NOTHING on a cactus farm.
Do NOT need a light source. I've build these completely underground and unlit a few times and they still work the same.

Btw the rates for a 2-layer farm is about 80 cactus per hour, the more layers you have the better!

i did the farm it was very easy and nice video btw but it doesnt want to grow so after 5 min still 0 cactus in the chest can u help me?
Hey, I just saw your comment now.. sorry.
Have you added the torches as I showed? And cactus can take a while to grow, so you have to be patient
