- Today we are hunting for rare and valuable commemorative coins, we are hunting through a big bag of £250, direct from the Bank!
We are hunting for new coins from the UK to add to our collection of 50p coins.
We are hoping to find all of the Beatrix Potter coins (including Jemima Puddleduck, Peter Rabbit and Flopsy Bunny), all of the Paddington Bear coins, the very rare Olympic coins, including the football 50p (offside rule) and Triathlon and Judo, perhaps one day we might even find a 'lines over the face' Aquatics! We are, of course, also looking for the rarest 50p of them all, the 2009 Kew Gardens 50p Coin.
We also collect coins from the British territories; Jersey, Guernsey, Gibraltar, Falkland Islands, Isle of Man or even St Helena!

I've made friends with my local postmaster & was surprised with £50+ of commemorative 50p waiting for me today. Including 10 olympics, mainly duplicates & 3 territories. Still looking for the albatross ( salmon ). Also a very clean Gibraltar £2 with jumping dolphins.

On Friday 22nd Dec, I did a 50p hunt and managed to 2008 Britannia, 2011 Wrestling and 2017 Royal Shield.

Like London buses those Coronation coins! I've only found one to date. Shame the Olympic was a duplicate. Fishty Pence has a certain ring to it! 😂. Thanks for answering my question, I was half wondering whether I had missed an NIFC getting found at some point! 😁👍

Fishty pence is a fun name! Nice last bag luck with Olympic Modern Pentathlon. Glad you found two coronations. It’s weird how you can find duplicates so early on. Similar thing happened to me with the alphabet 10ps. Not found any new ones for ages, just duplicates.
2 coronations very cool and the design is very nice as well wa a exciting for me to see them as well. (Not as nice as the Sherlock’s though😬🤩) here’s a question on Samuel Johnson’s dictionary what’s the word under fifty is it fifties? And is that old English writing or Celtic or Saxon??? I don’t recognize the character after the FIF. Great hunt with a few more additions. Thanks for sharing see you on the next one👍🏼👊🏼
