@@CruisinMiles Using megatune(mspnp2) . but hell I can't even hold a headgasket after 10lbs Before that I did the same as you. but used the 240cc injectors now running 440cc
@@makah21 I really need to figure out the mega squirt thing. I know it’s been around for ages now. I’m still on the original injectors as well. Though I do have an aftermarket walbro fuel pump and fuel pressure regulator
Awesome! I’ve got an 83’ celica I just rebuilt and it hardly revs above 4k rpm. I think it might be my ignition or maybe my cam is just for low end 🤷♂️ either way love the car!
Nice! and Thanks! My original 22re was similiar ran out of breath early thought something was wrong with it it had the wrong dizzy on it. Now I run duration 270+. 260 durations are the go to numbers for torque. Mine still hits a wall around 5800rpm with bigger valves porting. Long stroke and intake runners and ecu plays a huge part in its limitations. Boost helps, it catch its breath. But adds a lot more complications. A little advance in timing could help. If it has good pull in the low revs. I say your good to go N/A.
Did you document the build anywhere? I saw the individual coils on your head gasket vid, and I’m about to convert my carb engine to FI with Megasquirt.
Could do a shabby walk through. Would likely give more questions then answers. This has all been a learning experience( had no idea what I was doing).. Running mspnp2 which was mostly plug and play for 22re. Had to fuse and relay for 4 wire smart coils, crank sensor, o2, and gm air temp sensor. And used a techno toy tuning 4age crank wheel with washers to space it out. Also had a short between ignition and ecu and that broke my brain for sometime. Read the megasquirt Bible at least 5 times. Also made terrible mistakes along the way. Motor #3. Ran the last motor 80 degrees out because the crank sensor setting was set to Zero instead of 80 degrees. Make Solid leads and solid grounds and you will be good to go. Using a secondary fuse and relay box helps simplify and add for later ideas. Still learning here. Best of luck.
0:56 Nice!
You are too kind.
Your car is really cool, this gen of celica is my favorite :)
Much appreciated.
Sounds so healthy! I love it
Thanks! Healthy is a bit of a grey area. or a work in progress.
@@makah21 what are you using for tuning? I have the stock ecu and AFM on mine. Tightened the AFM spring a couple notches on 10lbs. Runs pretty good.

@Cruisin Miles plug and play. Little bit of wiring to get rid of the afm and add a gm air temp sensor. Coil near plug is over kill.

@@makah21 thanks for the help! I’m planning on putting a turbo on it someday so we’ll see what that does lol :)

This is a sweet build. What did it cost to turn your 22re into a stroker
Originally the LCE stroker short block was under 2600.00. It was cheaper then the kit at the time.
come to look at some my receipts it was 2300 at the time
