Brian was the best voice of Bad Co. Both are great, but Brian is the only one who has the voice and range that can surpass any rock singer of the past including Paul Rodgers. Paul is great… everyone loves him… but Brian is phenomenal! He’s better than Journey and all the other high pitched singers of bands we love in the USA. No voice matches Brian’s… and the songs don’t match either. He was the best!
One of my favorite Bad Company songs with Brian Howe. Just heard he passed away today in Florida. A great vocalist. Rest In Peace. Thanks for all the great music.
When Brian Howe replaced Paul Rodgers he also took over as the main songwriter for the band. I love both the old BC and the BC with Brian Howe. Amazing singers both of them.
Mick Ralphs guitar and Simon Kirke's drumming absolutely killed it on this track! They both should be very proud of this song! Damn shame they literally buried Brian Howe before his passing....RIP: Brian Howe! I will always treasure your years with Bad Company!!!
Sad fact about business is that Brian was a paid employee, Ralph’s/Kirke did all the music, Brian had little stake in the band, probably sold what little he had.
One of the greatest voices in the history of Rock music. Lou Gramm of Foreigner. Steve Perry of Journey. And Brian Howe, who made 4 albums with Bad Co.

R.I.P.!!! Brian Howe!!! the incredibly gifted singer for Bad Company on this album and what I call there masterpiece....The "Holy Water" album. Loved him as a vocalist, and from all the interviews and reading I have done on him through the years...he was quite the character as well!!! Hope he's in a better place and in peace....Rock on!!
The longer I don't hear any better music than this, the more I realize Brian Howe had serious game. I wish he would have gotten to name his own band so he'd have gotten more credit.
Sadly, Brian Howe is gone today. I consider his contribution to Bad Company to be crucial to their survival till the return of Paul Rodgers. His voice was very distinctive. You will be missed, Sir. RIP.
Brian made this song what it is because he was one Smoking ____ing simger! A truly unique voice that brought this band back come the dead! But he never got the credit for it. I saw him on tour years later in a bar in DeKalb, IL and although it wasn’t the blistering sounds that he had brought’n back to Bad Company it was to me still an excellent show. Just to get to see him perform live was great to me although I’m sure to him it probably just a job to earn some money and it has to hurt to someone who at one time was on Cloud Nine for a while we it’s a band that never seemed to really welcome him as they should have for reviving there band back to top notch status. I saw Michael Schenker in that same bar a couple of years later and again they were great but it does seem like it’s just a gig and on down the road they go to the next one. But let me tell you there is still nothing like a live music she that can never be replaced by a video and to be able to see these great Rockers was a privilege to me and I will always cherish these shows. I’m sorry to know that I will never get another chance to see Brian perform live again but he’s singing with a bunch of other rock stars from now on in a place where He Will Always Be Appreciated! Yes, bringing in Howe was great... But it was fabulous once they put Ted Templeton in charge of production... Ted was a perfectionist and did great work with the reformed Bad Company.
That's right he had his own style. I.mean Howe was a legend in his own right. Ya know Brian kept the ball rolling despite his relationship with mick and Simon. I think mick and Simon failed to see the potential in Brian.
Buckeye Gurl, You hit the nail on the head-Brian Howe is an amazing vocalist!! And I love the heavier, harder sound Bad Company had when he was their frontman!!

Gene is good but this guy "fundamentally" is better more crisp and clean chord exchanges Gene sings too so but I like Blackie Lawless on Bass, I am late & so cant get into this right now Just HAD to say my Opinion LoL
2013 and I still rock this one... like Steven Tyler always said back then, " The train kept a rollin' all night long of rock n' roll, which you cannot kill, it will live forever, its here again" Rock of the 80's fuels my core, I am bound to it. Bad company with Brian Howe was good stuff, Paul Rodgers BC was and is legendary.
Brian Howe is AMAZING! All of these songs CRANK!!! I love Paul but Brian is a powerhouse singer. Also listen to the drums on this. Who engineered and produced it? It's all layered and sits quite well. The drums are tight crisp. Really good stuff. Sounds like some that could have been in Studio B at Ocean Way but probably England?

They released four albums with him. The first one completely sucks (pressured by Atlantic to put out something pop sounding). This was the 2nd and the next two were also pretty good. Holy Water (the 3rd) sold the most.
