- With 40 years of legacy under his belt, Mr Tan Ah Qiang has cultivated a loyal following who have journeyed with him to Sims Vista from Circular Road (Boat Quay). To them, his Teochew-style Lor Ark is the best in town 👍! Glistening in rich, luscious sauce, it is nearly impossible not to salivate at the sight of the culinary spectacle. It is no wonder that the stall draws a queue even before opening.
Braised pork belly, gizzard, pig's head skin, tofu, egg and peanuts are the popular side dishes. Regulars will surely appreciate the stir-fried cabbage with dried pig skin - a classic dish rarely found.

Looks delicious
I have tried his fried cabbage version but prefer the cabbage stir-fried with lily buds, sweet tau kee with black fungus and tang hoon also dried prawns. This dish not commonly found too. Missed my late mum cooking.

Would be ideal if uncle have braise soup for kway teow hor fun. Toppings: braise duck, pork innards. One shop in Johor (Pelangi Mall behind) so famous with their signature special chilli dipping sauce

Teochew Roasted duck’s or goose’s the colour and Aroma should be come from the slow cooked rock sugar till dark not come from Dark caramel Soy sauce alone !
