I had originally bought a bunch of Rainbow High dolls to steal their clothes for my Blythe dolls. But as I stared into their blank little faces, I began to fall in love with their mold. So I originally planned on my next custom to be a Rainbow High. Then I received this giant Amaya Raine for Christmas and was absolutely smitten with her! I had to bump the doll I was going to use and jumped ahead to the customization of the 24 inch Amaya.
But I wasn’t originally going to make Moiraine Damodred from The Wheel of Time. Frankly, I don’t remember what I was going to do because as soon as the idea for Moiraine popped into my head, nothing else mattered anymore. Lol! My wife has been a fan of the series for awhile, but I absolutely fell in love with the character while watching the Amazon Prime version. Rosamund Pike is ridiculously talented and GORGEOUS. Then the costumes, hair, sets, etc. really won me over. So I knew she needed to be my next endeavor.
I hope you enjoy the video. I’m still learning how to edit and tell stories through film.
I’m currently preparing a bunch of dolls to sell at Wonderland of Play (www.wonderlandofplay.com/) in Bruges, Belgium this summer. If you live nearby, I’d love to meet you! So all my dolls are going toward that goal. However, if they don’t sell there, I’ll have them for sale in my shop.

I fell in love with the show...but this doll. No comparison. STUNNING is an understatement. Wow. You are so very talented. I’ve collected dolls over the years. Monster High, pullip, rainbow high, etc. I’ve always wanted to try my hand at customization but have been scared to even begin. Omgosh, I love this doll! I had no idea RH dolls this big even existed haha. But I absolutely adore how heavy her lower lashes are, they give her such a soft and mystical expression. Very very pretty

I'm pretty late on commenting, but what pencil sharpener do you use for the watercolor pencils? I can't ever get mine sharp enough. The materials list in this video's description is the most complete one I've ever seen (thank you!), but I need a good sharpener.
And since I'm here, commenting anyway: I don't know how I found your channel originally, and I didn't know OOAK was a thing until recently. Your beautiful work has inspired me to at least try this (I've been looking for something crafty to do). In the past week, I've ruined three Draculauras. Lol. Just kidding, only two.
I've been a fan of the Wheel of Time books since 1991-ish, and I'm one of "those" book readers that hated the show, but your Moiraine is SPOT ON! The books have over 2700 named characters😲 and there's an incredible range of cultures to choose from, so I hope you do some more at some point. I'd love to see you do a Game of Thrones doll (Anybody but Dany and/or Jon Snow, tho, please. They're so overrated. [once again, love the books, hated the last 3 seasons of the show]). I think Melisandre or Ashara Dayne would be awesome.

We designed and printed them on our 3D printer. But you could do the same thing with Worbla.

Hmmmmm… I thought I did better this time. 😢 My problem is that I edit my videos to go along with the music, so when the music is hard to hear, you lose a lot of the impact of the video. But I definitely don’t want my videos to be exhausting!!! 😭
I wouldn’t call it exhausting, but at about 3:50 it took a bit more effort to concentrate because my brain kept fighting between listening to the music and to the voiceover. I think the natural swell of the music was just a bit much, or a bit off on timing, so it conflicted with the voiceover. Other than that, no volume issues I could see, and gorgeous doll!
@@geekmyths thanks for the feedback. We had some issues with that song during export, so I wonder if that was part of the issue.

Awww. I liked the changes they’ve made. They’ve streamlined a few storylines and expanded on a couple of others. But I respect your opinion. 🥰
