The least of my worries is government rationing of food in this day and age of big business. There’s a shopping center in suburban walking distance with 1 big box store, 3 grocery stores, a pharmacy with food, 2 fast food chains, local restaurants. For my rural friends, they drive into town for work where they are surrounded by several grocery stores. I’m more concerned with what big business is doing to the food: hormones, GMOs. With rationing, I can go to several stores but if every store has hormone injected food, it does me no good. Grow your own.
I agree 100% with your concerns about GMO and hormone injected foods. It's frankenstein food. I worry about rationing when I see what's currently happening with baby formula and some cooking oils now. Doesn't matter how many stores are nearby or where you go, they may either already be out, or you'll need to use your WWII type ration card. Everyone will be allowed a very limited amount of different foods.
@@TheHowDoGardener The forgers and the hackers are better than the government. Guaranteed, they'll be extra cards for sale. Besides for what you can grow, there are so many unregulated sellers (roadside stands). There was a rice incident a few years ago, they just limited the amount per store. I'm watching the baby formula situation they're not rationing, they're getting more from other countries. We are the ultimate consumers.
