My sister is a step mom and if her boyfriend's ex took their daughter they would raise hell. Kandice Brown they have the same rights in England too but the laws of the land are very flexible in soaps. There’s also never been any suggestion that they have a formal custody arrangement so if Robert and Rebecca can’t agree between them what happens they’d need to get solicitors and courts involved to draw one up.

So a violent career criminal/ attempted murderer and a women with brain damage, who can't be left alone with her child and stole a bunch of cars vs a ex con with a history of violence from a family of criminals and a murderer (although it was a accident) with a history of being cruel, that would be quite a custody battle.
BUT the accidental murderer was never convicted so basically it would come down to the GBH conviction vs the brain damage and attempted murder/career criminal; but yeah i think it'd come down to who is more spiteful/cunning in order to win custody (and we all know who that is)
