  • Review of the Browning Buckmark Camper UFX .22LR Pistol. Purchased this .22lr pistol for my wife as she really wanted something easy to shoot and was accurate. It's a great budget-friendly range gun that's easy and comfortable to shoot.
    This model has a 10-Round Capacity, and extra magazines are readily available (shrsl.com/4c7u1). The Buck Mark UFX Camper model features an over-molded Ultragrip FX Grips, 16-click adjustable Pro-Target rear sight, Marble Tru-Glo front sight, 5.5" Tapered Heavy Bull Barrel, is CNC machined out of a solid piece of aircraft-grade 7075-T6 aluminum alloy bar, and sports a gold-tone trigger.
    If you are looking to improve the shooting experience and ease of target acquisition, check out the Browning Buckmark Reflex Sight (shrsl.com/4c7ux). This Red Dot Optic is an excellent upgrade to the Browning Buck Mark's sights!

    Overall an excellent pistol for new or experienced shooters compared to other pistols on the market in its price range. It offers a lot of versatility, ease of use, reliability, and comes at a budget price for the quality of the handgun. Its a great choice for training, plinking, hunting, and competition shooting!

    Very interesting. I am here 7 years later & just picked up the same model for the same exact price. Mine came to $417 out the door. I found a great deal online for a twin pack of magazines for only $47.99 so, now I have 3.

    Picked up my Camper yesterday here in California , base model Pro Target Sight brand new. I guess they no longer include spent casing nor an Allen wrench because mine didn't come with either. Got 1 magazine , Lock as well as booklet(s) I already own 6 extra magazines.
    Man this gun feels very good in hand , well balanced I will be going to the range in a couple days to test it out. Really wanted that casing so I could start with same ammo as I get it sighted in.

    Nice pistol man! I just got a Ruger 22/45 lite 2 months ago and i love it. I looked into the buck mark and the sig 1911-22 and went with the ruger. A 22lr pistol is good for practice and great on the pockets. Great add to you and your wifes collection.

    Hey, I noticed you mentioned cleaning out packing grease, did you completely disassemble the whole firearm to do this? As much info as possible helps big time, waiting for stainless steel version to arrive.

    I just bought the Buck Mark Lite Gray URX - alloy sleeve barrel anodized gray finish. What the heck do ya clean these with?? I've been told "oil"? How's oil going to clean it? Owner's manual says no solvents, and that's about it. Any suggestions?

    • @intoweapons
      @intoweapons  Před 8 lety

      Whenever I need to clean a firearm with a delicate finish, I usually use CLP (amzn.to/29y8WKs) which has little to no solvent and is mostly lubricant and rust inhibitor. But I also use Ballistol (amzn.to/29Hlq17), which is similar to CLP, but is a little less "oily", and is more comparable to WD-40. Both work great and should never harm any finishes! Hope it helps :)

    • @poppyvintular7478
      @poppyvintular7478 Před 8 lety

      I'm a total newb, so just to clarify,,this is just for cleaning the bore, right? The outside of the barrel almost feels matte. Will fingerprints hurt it, or should I put something on it to protect it? Oil seems like it would darken it.

    • @poppyvintular7478
      @poppyvintular7478 Před 8 lety

      And thank you for the link and the knowledge!

    • @intoweapons
      @intoweapons  Před 8 lety

      Poppyvintula R I actually use solvents (sprayed on nylon brush) on the entire firearm. It isn't necessary, but it should not hurt your finish. Otherwise a good wipe on the exterior with a Silicon or Gun Cleaning Cloth should also do the trick. You just want to remove any dirt, dust, or powder collected on the exterior, and then lightly oil for rust prevention. Hope it helps!

    How did it do on paper? Does it have a range that it seems to group better/accurate? I've been wanting a .22 LR target pistol and this is one that I'd consider, another is the Ruger Mark 3. you have any kind of experience with the Ruger target pistols? Mind me asking what you had to pay odor this one?
    Thanks

    • @intoweapons
      @intoweapons  Před 10 lety

      Actually haven't had this pistol out to the range yet, probably will this Wednesday. My in-law's have this pistol and it is extremely accurate. We are able to hit golf balls pretty easily at about 25 yds. The Ruger Mark 3 is very comparable to this pistol and has more of the 1911 angles of the grip that everyone likes. I haven't shot one before, but I am sure they are just as nice. I heard they are a bit more difficult to take down though. The Buck Mark ran $412 total.

      Haha a "Girls gun?" Gun is a gun in the right hands even a .22 keep that in mind. While it's fine and well to own many guns in many calibers if you can't use them correctly what's the point ? Me I practice with anything but only own .22's why you say ? Because i'm very good with them , ammo is light and once I take your $1000 gun it is now mine lol. .22 has limits of course but planned out correctly , be smart and you could survive a long time with one.
