Updated sub10 run: • Siegfried Vs. Lucilius...
In anticipation of the upcoming patch, I managed a slightly improved time over my previous run ( • Granblue Fantasy: Reli... ) with some adjustments to my build that I had discussed in the description: a build focused on stacking as much stun power as possible! With my sigil setup and overmasteries, I'm able to hit 246 stun power (might lose some more sanity rerolling millions of MP to get truly perfect overmasteries) which under certain conditions is enough for Siegfried to stun Lucilius out of casting Paradise Lost by himself! This saves anywhere from 20 to 30 seconds of damage uptime per cast depending on the phase and doesn't require you to spend SBA meter to stop him, which is very useful on a non-flight over fight build as Siegfried's SBA gain is quite slow without constant nimble onslaught procs. Previously I ran with only level 16 nimble onslaught, but 30 really makes a huge difference and gives you plenty of time for things like safely setting off landmines.
A little disclaimer, as I mentioned in the previous video, the SuppV+ are optional if you wanted to try this yourself without using certain "methods" to get them. You'd have to drop potion hoarder, a nimble onslaught, and change an Alpha to regular Damage Cap V+ with Improved Dodge to replicate this build with regular SuppV sigils. It's still definitely possible to clear with that setup, you simply have a bit less comfort and room for error in the final DPS check. Using SuppIV+ sigils is alright too, but if supplementary damage doesn't proc, the lack of hitstop can throw off your perfect combo timing.
You can see a successful stun cancelling Paradise Lost at 18:10. The setup requires you to more or less be right beside him upon startup on your second perfect timing attack, then follow up the Perfect Execution into Nelah Nav while making sure both hits connect by aligning yourself with his wings, and finishing the stun with Verdrängen. Other combinations will probably work as well and will require a bit more testing to figure out. Nelah Nav is required, but Verdrängen should only be used if you don't have time to get further into another normal attack combo with Uwe.
Since Lucilius has somewhere around a one minute cooldown on casting Paradise Lost while in Overdrive and casts it immediately on entering a "neutral state", you have to keep somewhat of an internal timer on it and make sure that your skills are ready, you aren't skill sealed by the spinning orbs, and that you skip a bit ahead into your combo beforehand. It's quite difficult to do consistently! I'm not sure if getting to 250 stun power would make much of a difference but I'll be looking for better overmasteries to test this. I'm also wondering if Sandalphon contributes a significant amount of stun which would add an unpredictable element of RNG to this setup...
Not quite an ideal run but I'm learning more effective strategies in the fight every attempt. For example, at 02:17, you can perfect dodge the pushback into skill seal orbs attack by dodging a little after the visual effect appears. You can see the timing on this is when your gamma shield gets hit for 0 as it nullifies the knockback. I think the safest way to deal with both versions of this move is to do a dodge backwards by inputting no direction to try for a perfect dodge on the initial pushback, and then dodging into the orbs as they appear if you missed it. Getting skill sealed makes this stun strategy completely fall apart so it's important to avoid this move at all costs, perhaps saving your parry skill for it.
There's a possibility that Siegfried's stun values will be adjusted in the upcoming patch which may improve or ruin this build. If we get some interesting changes, I'll definitely be working on improving this time even further!
Had a good laugh over this video which motivated me to play again before the patch: • Siegfried Damage
  • Hry
