All so the judge can immediately release them, and then the viscous cycle of collateral damage will continue. If you won't actually keep people in jail, please quit jeopardizing the public to capture them just to release them.

The media then quotes their family members as saying "they aren't really like this, they've had a few rough years, they wouldn't actually harm anyone, this is a misunderstanding."
Thus, everyone knows who did it anyways. The only thing we don't know is the shade.

I feel like you can just categorize the whole country that way now. There are a few places that haven't been fully impacted yet but as a whole, it's the rule, not the exception. Can blame our republican lawmakers for our weak vehicle code. At least Evers signed into law Assembly Bill 55 and Senate Bill 76, attempting to put these nightriders in jail longer. This guy, Robert Hill got 5 years in the DOC but 2 in prison. Seeing as courts view the totality of the circumstances and that no one fortunately got hurt, and that we have sentencing guidelines with an indeterminate system, 2 years makes sense. I think people, like you, forget how miserable prison is, and also don't really know what you are ever talking about.

Ahhhhhh, I witnessed this pursuit when I was working and have been waiting for you to post this forever. I was in the front of the line at Silver Spring & Port Washington in my work van and saw the spikes but the video was cut when they crossed that intersection. I wish we had dash cams!!!

The average petty criminal would not go to such lengths to avoid being lightly punished for a petty crime, which tells you this is anything but a "petty" criminal, and a good reminder that enforcement against petty crimes leads to more serious criminals getting caught.

Shoplifting between $100 and $2,500 can result in 9 months jailtime and/or a $10,000 fine in wisconsin. Fleeing and eluding: 3 years 6 months in prison and/or a $10,000 fine. Resisting arrest: 9 months jailtime and/or a $10,000 fine.

The cops had that fleeing suv pinned in within the first minute of the video but the cops goofed by allowing the suv to escape which ended up prolonging the chase for 7 minutes while endangering many people. The last 7 minutes should have never happened.

Rob a store that is two blocks from the Police Station is never a good idea.
Robert Hill (driver) pled guilty and was sentenced to two years. As part of this plea deal, the charges of hit and run causing injury (the black car he hit) were dropped. He also will face three years of supervised release.
Across the Nation, it should be a mandatory 5 years for eluding. (No Parole and must be completed consecutively with any other charge) Justification, they endanger the lives of our citizens and Police Officers. Secondly, all damages must be paid before leaving prison.. not sure how much the institution pays but you may be there awhile. If you cause harm to anyone, that's another 5-15 years depending on severity of the injury, unless lethal force is used than its a lifetime sentence, no parole.
NEVER let him out of prison.
