I live in Brookings for 16 years after being a life long resident of California. This is as close to heaven on earth I i have found. Great people and we are all l family.
That's nice to hear. I've been looking at Oregon as a place to move to, and am looking for somewhere quiet, safe, and with a close community.
Moved to Brookings in April 1989, to me it was like moving home where I experienced the happiest years of my life. And, falling asleep each night to the sound of Ocean waves pounding Mill Beach below.
This video was a real treat for me, seeing Matt Howland representing Curry County. What a terrific spokesman he is. - Good Job Matt!
Look forward year after year participating in annual Azalea Festival and Parade. Even though our parade is considered work, I look at it as a labor of Love.
They missed one year (1967?)due to a hepatitis outbreak.
Boooring!
