1:10 bust out the solar panels because when it is not busy raining it is a good place to get power from the sun. I use portable panels, but people mount them on their houses for the same reason. You get good solar power here.
9:50 as a local who’s grown up here I’ve gotten around the different areas of town and I have to say I do love the way some of these places look. Like some of these buildings are really cool. I used to get impressed by the architecture when I was a youngster.
Southwestern Oregon is alright for me, and I'm only temporarily living here for college until June of this year when I graduate. I vastly prefer the entire coast and Northwestern Oregon. I prefer the nature and towns over there.
It’s such a beautiful state for travel. If you have a good working vehicle this place is the place for you. It’s just because everything is so damn far from each other.
@@Pronounlol I do have a car. I don't like how Medford and Ashland are 20 minutes apart. Medford has a mall, airport, stores with more specific things, and more common restaurants. In the Portland area, things aren't as remote from smaller towns and suburbs.
Fire smoke for long periods of time and they are progressing year after year.
Thanks for the info. My wife and I drove thru there in 2015. We loved it. But, work keeps me here. How is the growth in the home repairs side?
Thanks for watching! I'm glad you love it here! The home repair businesses seem to be doing well and tend to correlate pretty closely with the real estate market. When more homes are sold, more are repaired, etc.
Very imformative. Thanks. Live in Brookings and travel to the area on a frequent basis for medical.
Thank you for watching!
Brookings is so pretty
Shared this to my Facebook page. Thanks:)
Awesome, thank you!
3:00 awww me and my sister go on these hikes all the time because they are short and sweet.
If you want to go to table rock specifically, please remember that you cannot bring your dogs. Me and my sister were disappointed in that one time. The only location around where dogs aren’t allowed, we visited there lol. Everywhere else is fine unless stated otherwise. We use Roxy Ann peak now for our viewing experiences.
Roxy Ann Peak is a great hike too! the views are incredible.
The biggest problem in Medford right now is that they are filling up all the remaining green, open spaces with
clunky, boring, ugly apartment blocks. Or hideous, unneeded strip malls, like that McAndrews/Springbrook atrocity.
Who on the Planning Board got paid off to approve that? Everybody I know is boycotting that place.
How do you navigate the insane government and politics of Oregon? I live in Washington so it's just as bad. Id like to move down by Ashland or Brookings etc, but I feel like id be going from bad to worse
We're actually making a lot of progress in Oregon. The legalization of drug possession was just rolled back and my understanding is that people will now be arrested and given the choice of six months in jail or get treatment. That issue has been the big headliner. Aside from that, the politics are actually pretty middle-of-the-road because you have most of the local Southern Oregon (city & county) governments are much more conservative than the state government.
@@BuyingSouthernOregon what about 2A issues?
I'm not aware of any...@@baronofgreymatter14
@@BuyingSouthernOregonIs there concealed carry? Even in Uber Woke Washington it's a shall issue state. I dont think Oregon is
@@baronofgreymatter14 yes, you can get a concealed carry permit in Oregon.
As It burns EVERY YEAR congrats 🎉🎉🎉 bruh stop giving away the state!!!! Go back to cali
I'm trying super hard to make that comment make sense, but it just doesn't. Thanks for watching though!
I was surprised by your obvious conservative religious values. Very similar to the values I'm trying to get away from in Texas. The fact you noted a preference for ONLY binary gender bathrooms, etc. Was a RED FLAG. Just say'n.
That's totally okay. Southern Oregon is full of people who care more about the character of others than their political opinions. We are fortunate to be in an area where friendships and relationships transcend political differences. Kind of like the way it used to be...but I know that may not be what some folks are looking for and that's okay too.
