Wouldn’t be able to watch in real life….I love dolphins too much. also I realize I could never live in the wild as an animal, lol. Having to constantly live out being chased down for my life on a daily basis would be too much for my well-being. Lord animals live on another level! I mean seriously. It’s life or death on regular basis
Well, it's a life long death/life struggle for us humans also. Even if we have managed to move much of that struggle to letters/figures on papers. Those papers turning into beasts at night though, being chased by grizzlies and such waking up in sweat with 180 heartbeats per minute.
@@beorlingo yes believe me I know. I wouldn’t argue with that in any regard . But just that it’s so in your face or so black/white that death could happen any minute. Humans are pretty clever and also there are a lot of “safety nets” in society where you can hide, even if you shouldn’t be! That said, I know us humans are some resilient species :P 💪🏻
No, it life and death everyday for man too, you just don't see it as humans as much as you do animals in the wild. Because we don't have to kill our food someone else does that for us.Or did you think that steak you're eating grew on a tree?
Both are intelligent, orcas aren't more so. Orcas are just bigger. Bull sharks and tiger sharks regularly hunt dolphins their size, regardless of intelligence
👀 I like the joke, lol but Dolphins don’t protect us from Sharks. Sharks don’t eat or like to eat/hunt humans (I don’t think there is a single animal that does) Dolphins just like to fuck up Sharks. We just support their bullying cause, well Sharks lol personally I like sharks more, but Orcas even more
@Jim Jenkins Well literally this is something that literally can happen literally anywhere literally possible and we all can literally watch it literally all we literally want.
The same with all cetaceans. All whales (including dolphins) have to surface so orcas can chase them. Sharks can dive far deeper and stay submerged so orcas have to overpower them quickly if not the sharks can easily escape.
I'm a bit sceptical that the orcas were after the dolphins, since we see no sign at all of any kind of attack and the orcas don't seem to be in hunting mode right at the start. I wonder if both weren't actually going after the same prey...
Absolutely agree. Why would the dolphins be surfacing like that if they were fleeing? I've seen both of these animals in the wild many times, that didn't look like a hunt to me at all.
If the killer Whales was eating normal which I think you mean eating Fishes, then the dolphins would never flee in a hurry like that. They were definitely being hunted and the killer Whales were just toying with them, making them exhausted so they won't waste much energy chasing after them.
From the looks of this, there are plenty of dolphins to go around. Hunting needs to happen to control the population. This is why the killer whale was invented.
Orca hunting porpoise not dolphin. Dolphins entire bodies leave the water when hunting or fleeing. Some dolphin & porpoise species share similar color patterns
@@MsPinkwolf Yeah I know, but people villainize hyenas for eating their prey alive when orcas do much worse things to their prey and everyone regards them as the gentlest animals ever
@@zacsmith2026 I dont think anyone thinks of them as that. They dont, as a rule, attack humans. As in most cases a lot of people just don't understand animal behaviour.
Well they are all dolphins but What's so sad about it? Or would you prefer the orca to suffer and starve to death and wash up on a beach with its malnutritioned rotting carcass? Come on man you gotta think kid.
Orca are actually quite agile in short spurts. They can reach speeds of up to 50km per hour on a straight line. Their tactic isn't about being faster but planning a successful hunt by preventing an escape route for the quicker prey to escape from. As you can see the orcas were able to herd them into a tight cove which means the dolphins are helpless or would have to take huge risks of escaping. This is how the orcas get the upper hand. You don't need to be faster, just more clever.
What we do is not nature lol. The Orcas chase and catch prey. We breed and grow animals in cages and murder them when we decide to. They eat to survive. We kill cause its tasty.
I think killer whales behave like this because they learnt that some of the row boaters let baby seals and smaller sea creatures taking a refuge on-board. They are looking for food, but people aren't on their menu.
Wow Amazing Video! Wish you would of kept on recording it looked like the Orca's had a small group of dolphins cornered and possibly even caught one towards the end.
Yes, orcas are dolphins, and dolphins are whales (cetaceans), ie infraorder Cetacea. Cetacea is further divided into two parvorders, Odontoceti (toothed whales, or dolphins, including orcas, sperm whales, and narwhals), and Mysticeti, (baleen whales). Whether they have teeth or baleen, they are all whales.
Actually that might work if it was just one or two. Same with lions and their prey. It’s the chaos that ensues from the initial scare that leads to death. That might explain why some lion prey have evolved to be more aggressive in the face of an attack.
@@yaahlabanyamyan144. After reading comments like yours I think you might be on to something. It’s hard to figure out how billions of years of evolution could have lead to something so inane.

Orcas attack dolphins differently than sharks. They usually chase the dolphins until they get really tired. Then they go in for the kill.
The same with all cetaceans. All whales (including dolphins) have to surface so orcas can chase them.
Sharks can dive far deeper and stay submerged so orcas have to overpower them quickly if not the sharks can easily escape.
