    I have three top performing ad sets however when I switch them from ABO to CBO, 50% - 75% of the budget goes to ad set with the largest audience size.

      Can add a MIN SPEND inside the ad set settings and do a 25% of your total cbo budget for it!

      Otherwise, I don't sweat it. Let it run for a week and let Facebook stabilize things out!

      Cbo campaign budget allocations are defined by audience size :) that’s why you’ll see more ad spend to towards the interest ad sets with larger audiences

    Great video, I have been testing this for a while! Does it affect performance if you add new batches to the testing campaigns every few days? If the general rule is to not touch campaigns too often.

    • @NickTheriot
      @NickTheriot  Před 2 lety

      At the campaign level on a creative testing campaign, we ignore roas as it will be all over the place. The goal is to look at the ad level performance!

    with the new IOS update, so many youtubers recommend using CBO for both testing and scaling phases. They say ABO can no more perform with the new update....can you please get me more insight...I am literally lost and don't know what approach to opt for...thanks in advance.🙏

    • @NickTheriot
      @NickTheriot  Před 3 lety +2

      I would say it's opposite, CBO's are starting to have a harder time to optimize due to the estimated results Facebook is showing. We've started to change up our strategy and noticing ABO's to work better.

      Test ABO, if that works then stick with it. Goal as a media buyer is to understand what works on your account and then run with it!

    Does adding an ad to an active adset in CBO affect learning? You say just chuck it in, but would that not restart learning?

    • @NickTheriot
      @NickTheriot  Před rokem

      Yes I would reset learning and I’m not concerned about that because performance never declined

    How do you scale 50-100% with CBO in 24 hours. Wont it lose optimization?

    • @NickTheriot
      @NickTheriot  Před 3 lety

      You need a very profitable CBO to do that. If your breakeven roas is 1.5 and your getting a 2.0 then you cannot do that. But if you were getting a 4x and it stayed consistent like that for a few days, I would then start scaling aggressively.

  • @avidinaboarding4388
    @avidinaboarding4388 Před 3 lety +1

    I have an adset that been running for 5 days and has a 5.8 Roas with a BEROAS of 1.35. I'm not going to put it into a CBO because I have yet to have one that works. Do you recommend I just increase budget inside adset? if so, then by how much do you recommend and how often

    • @NickTheriot
      @NickTheriot  Před 3 lety

      Leave ad set alone. Duplicate adset into a cbo with just that one ad set + ad. And then set the budget to $100 a day. So you'll have 1 campaign 1 ad set and 1 ad. DO NOT turn off or touch the working adset in the other campaign!

    • @NickTheriot
      @NickTheriot  Před 3 lety

      Let it run for 3-4 days before touching.

      @@NickTheriot Then after that you'll adjust the actual budget on the CBO depending on results obviously correct?

    Do you still use this method with the batches and CBO? I see in your most recent videos it’s a little different then this. Just curious, because I don’t want to test it if it’s not still viable

  • @BananaBoy76

    Do you need to turn on CBO when you are running only 1 adset, 1 ads?

    • @NickTheriot
      @NickTheriot  Před 3 lety +1

      I do! It won’t make a difference because there’s only one adset in that campaign. So it would be the same as running abo. But I do cbo for 1 ad set campaigns because it’s easier for me to control budget!
