Monty Python did this concept way back when, way better. She was out of ideas, so she just recycled an old MP Sketch. No big, they all do it.

It used to be the hardly working series but I guess that so many of the vids could be considered part of it they just gave up and made it the norm

The problem with meta is it then gets overdone by everyone who realises that its a chance to be self referential all the time while forgetting the magic that made them popular in the first place.
For instance when she says frames it was a flashback to the glory days of troopers and some epic comedy
So yes this is funny in its own way but only in moderation :-)

I dont think it's lazy, I just think it only relates to people in the entertainment/ comedy industry, which isnt a lot if you're making content for everyone. The thing is they always usually do the targeted audience thing to a bunch of different people. Dw about it
I have nothing to do with the entertainment industry but these 'meta' sketches are amusing to me, mostly because of those actors in it and their delivery.
