Usually when I watch guitar comparison videos I can't honestly tell the difference. This comparison is one I could actually hear an obvious audible difference. I can't decide if I like one more than the other but there's definitely a noticeable difference. I actually picked up a PRS ce24 a few weeks ago. It's a faded grey black finish, not a satin finish though. It's in my lap right now while I'm writing this. The pickups are unreal! Their clarity is beyond anything I've ever played before. The neck is like no other, smooth, thin(but not to thin), fast etc. The fret ends are perfect, the fingerboard's rolled edges are perfect too. There's nothing on this guitar that isn't done the best way possible! I absolutely love this guitar! I just sold my strat and tele (both American) because I'm never going to play them again. This guitar covers every tone those 2 fenders did and it's just better (for lack of a better explanation).
Unfortunately, now that I watched your video, I might have to buy a satin finish too dang it! You guys are going to be to blame for my divorce! Lol!

I still prefer the shiny finish and would pay extra $1000 for it.

i'm not sure if it's just the playing, or what, but the satin finish had a stronger attack, and it kinda sounded thinner

Interesting...I have a CE 24 limited satin cherry burst, a core 24, and se Chris Robertson. I'm surprised that the ce standard sounds different than the one I have. Guess it's have to play in person. I like the plain natural wood standard you played... but but sure about the other colors. I do love my CE thought. I thought I would sell it when I bought my core... but it doesn't sound the same as my core at all... and I really love it... so haven't sold it yet and maybe never will...

Guess who just got his dream ce24, 🖐

Damn! Just bought the antique white one in the UK and its a great, guitar, incredible value, but the seafoam green looks amazing.
What about doing a satin semi-hollow? I can then almost justify having two!
Tie-dyed shirt taking me back to the 70s :)
