    As a Muganda myself I loved the way how the video amazingly been liked by my European friend here in UK!! Maybe Buganda and Uganda unaware of how they possess treasures in such an amazing healthy cooking and eating delicious matooke foods and accompanying sauces. It's long overdue such very early classic skills are promoted highly!! Many unknown wonders resides in Buganda and Uganda.

    It is high time we get someone to demonstrate our way of cooking as so many come on UTube and they just spoil it for us .thanks very much nyabo for your demonstration. Very neat with proper seating not peeling food when saucepan in the middle of the legs .Not in Buganda .let's preserve our culture and maintain our dignity .

    Nicholas, many banana leaves are used in the preparation and the way it is done is traditional. How did you manage to go a whole morning without eating? No wonder you couldn't wait for the food to be ready. The sauce with the Matooke looks really tasty.

    • @EatingTheAfricanWay
      @EatingTheAfricanWay  Před 2 lety +2

      Many banana leaves are used...because when you are mashing it...those leaves will protect the food from coming out.....so, when it's being mashed...it stays inside the leaves...and also to hold the steam inside that will cook the food and the sauce.......
      Yes yes.......it was too tasty......
