- If your wondering why some shows get canceled after the first episode or why some shows last for what it seems like forever, then you want to thank (or Hate) A.C. Nielsen Jr. The Man who created the Nielsen Rating System that Television still uses today.

He was asked whether he works in either TV or radio. While he's better known for the TV side, his company did the radio side as well before Arbitron came along.
AC Nielsen Jr. was a contestant on the October 5, 2011 episode of Celebrity Bucket Kickers.
It was a sad day, back in 2011. Both he & his father were creative, successful businessmen. Nielsen jr. looked like he had a lot of fun here.
Good job, Bennett!
Mr. Neilson's ratings may have had to do with the disappearance of this and other game shows from prime time in 1967. it was about that time that they stopped simply counting heads and did demographics. Prime time games shows soon disappeared, (so did most westerns and rural comedies). Now the game shows are back, big-time, (but not as good as this one.
hrumph. the nielsen company ties up traffic in glenview illinois when they all exit the parking lot at the same time during the evening rush hour. no great love here.
So should I blame him for Game Show Network taking off What's My Line and replacing it with the 1 of the 500 versions of Family Feud?!?!
LOLOL!! I miss watching this game 3 in the morning! It's a good clean funny game show.
How DID he get that??
