I'm multistreaming on Twitch and CZcams. I'm not really a fan of chat on the screen though, so I'm looking for other options and might give Casterlabs a look.

I think the biggest issue is platforms with lack of moderation. Between Twitch and CZcams there's pretty robust moderation tools and a combined chat shouldn't be an issue.

i have been using Air cast which offers a chat consolidation feature for multiplatform streaming. I am a console gamer without an adequate stream Pc, it has completely changed how i can provide content...granted i have a very small audience. it might be a pretty cool product to review..as im sure im not the only one who follows you that cannot utilize a powerful pc to run obs efficiently...love the content, keep it up

I started simulcasting from Twitch onto CZcams and have been loving the momentum of my journey towards YTPP. I’ve actually had a viewer today hop over from my YT stream and followed my Twitch and continued the conversation there.
Livestreams are HUGE towards those watch hour requirements and it’s fun to “start fresh” on another platform with everything you’ve learned on your main platform :)

Being a small channel such as myself, I think I'm just going to stick to CZcams streaming. You brought up a whole bunch of points that got me really thinking about the future of my channel. And since I'm not making money on YT yet! It's probably best I stay on one till I do, start making that paper! Thank you for this video and all the info!
Agreed. Live streams on youtube took a hit for me. I recommend doing it once in a while for your CZcams audience getting the chance to ask questions and get to know you.
I multistream to Twitch/CZcams/TikTok all at the same time and use Lumia stream to combine chat in an overlay (sorry twitch) and I found it to be wonderful on my CZcams channel bc it’s helping me reach my hours for monetization (after converting to a vod not while live of course) and I mostly post gameplay videos so people are enjoying the live gameplay experience too. So personally I’m loving it
Livestreams on CZcams actually count towards your hours for monetizing FYI and that’s time watched per user :)
Livestreaming on YT has been great - I've gone well past the watch hours despite not having enough subscribers to apply for partnership yet. Just started recently simulcasting, and I combine chat too. I don't feel Twitch is in a position to ban people for combining chat, and it dilutes the experience without it. Strange choice that they'll probably end up doing a 180 on, like some of the other choices they made.

Can you recommend a good microphone to use while I stream on obs while playing a game. As far as a webcam, I am going to use a Tiny 2 4k, however, I sit 27” from my triple monitors as I play a racing game, so a mic on a boom would maybe be best, but idk and why I am asking you since you have seen it all, and tried a lot of things.

It also breaks EU rules about crossplatform data sharing without user consent.
Using a keybind and some on screen image hinting what platform you talk to could probably work.

What plugin are you using for the combined chat? Your plugin looks very good
The "subs don't want to watch your streams" problem is easily solved by CZcams adding another notification setting. Under "All" it should have "No Live" or "No Streams" which will give you notifications for all of the normal longer-format videos without the streams; "Personalized" would still give you streams if & only if you end up watching one. An extremely simple fix for CZcams; do you have any connections you can bubble this up to?
Would you recommend having 2 separate scenes, one for twitch and one for youtube with separate alerts for each platform or just put everything in one scene with both alerts?
I had the exact same idea about making my YT lives members only because I stream different stuff from my main YT content. But I'm weary. When I mentioned it people asked me why I'm going to put my lives behind a paywall. I tried to explain that's not the point and the same streams will be live on Twitch and Kick, but people still didn't like the idea.

i got to ask do you have to multistream because i been multistreaming for 2 years and i havent seen no growth but since i quit multistreaming and only streaming on youtube i have felt better mentally but i always have that thought of am i making a mistake doing the putting eggs in one basket method
I'm new to both streaming and multstreaming and was wondering how you monitor all the streams? I've been opening a web page for yourube, twitch and kick stream managers and watching my strams to keep an eye on everything so if one of them stops working I can fix it. I cant find anything about this so I don't know if i need to do that or not. Side note im using obs to stream and not using a restream service
I’m confused here though, did something recently change because the ToS for twitch prohibits streaming yo twitch and another major broadcast (CZcams/Facebook/kick). I’m currently a twitch affiliate and don’t want to compromise that, but I’d love to be able to dial steam to CZcams.
So wait...does this apply to alerts on the livestream itself like CZcams super chats, Kick bits, etc on the Twitch platform?
Just want to point out you can set a membership price for your CZcams stream to whatever you want. I have a membership to a creator who has multiple tiers and I am on the $1 tier.
What if the chat isn't "combined" and you have separate chat overlays for separate platforms but are still visible on stream?

Does youtube streaming in HEVC still give better encoding type with 1440p and higher like AV1? I looked for info and it looks like AV1 does not work on geforce 3000 series :(

Yeah started multi-streaming and not looking back. With my base more on CZcams it helps with watch hours plus people on Twitch can join.
Unfortunately Aitum only has the two canvases. What if you want vertical, twitch and CZcams?
For the love of god can we get aitum vertical an update that lets us pause recordings the way the regular canvas can. It would be such a quality of life upgrade that I can only assume is very doable

Question: Since they don't want a combined chat feed on screen... Is there a Multi-Platform chat client available that Will let me Click on any chat message in the program to Display just that message on screen, So all the viewers will know which chatter the streamer is responding to? Define combined chat? I get the point is "Don't show alternative chats," but that's not what combined means. If I can't "combine" it, what if I had two entirely different streams of comments? Of course, I don't stream at all, I just like picking things apart. (Edit for clarification) A very quick Google search implies that it means merging. But again, if the issue is "If they ban an individual for ToS, they can just get around it onto a different platform." Which this rule doesn't seem to answer either.
The rule itself, to say it simply "If you're going to multi-stream, don't give other streams preferential treatment over us." Which doesn't mean you can't combine them, it means you can't only stream non-Twitch chats. That seems fair to me. What's the actual issue of merging chats here? The only thing is using a third-party program to do it, which as you said, Twitch can just, do it themselves if they don't want somebody else doing it.
They also say you can't provide a better experience to one platform over the other. It is very vague. For example I started streaming at 1440p to youtube for better codec, but can only stream at 1080p to Twitch. So technically one could argue that one was a better experience than the other. The combined chat thing...CZcams and Twitch both of TOS and don't allow 'toxic' stuff so I don't really understand twitch's argument here. However, I suppose it could have something to do with places like kick or rumble etc.
I'm using youtube streaming on some of the creators I used to watch on Twitch because I hate Twitch Ads and CZcams doesn't have this problem

vertical is making my obs not run. any suggestions on how to fix that. ive uninstalled and redownloaded a few times to no avail.
Have a bug where my resolution on the vertical streams are messed up since trying multi stressing on horizontal then switching back to vertical. I think I have to reinstall it

Starting the new year I will be multistreaming.. Right now I'm too busy (moving) to set everything up the way I like it (yes, I try to be a bit different from others). BUT, I will not be combining chat. WHY.. Well, I stream IRL, I am walking outside or am at a location where i don't have a streamdeck to quickly do/take any actions for bad messages coming from another platform.
I do already have it set up that I can read the Kick & CZcams messages while not at home. If someone has a legit question, I'll read out what it was and answer it. Else, I just ignore it. :D ;)

The whole multistreaming idea with a member ship reminds me of ltts floatplane almost since I can still watch wan show on twitch or yt so it’s no a paywall.

As someone who started streaming on CZcams and quickly moved over to Twitch, I felt the whole streaming experience here was far inferior. I don't know how much of that has changed since late 2018 to be honest. Might have?
The same bitrate, resolution and framerate on both platforms had very different quality, twitch looked good with 6k bitrate 720p while CZcams still looked bad with 1080p 10k bitrate. The connection broke off all the time.. There was NO community feeling whatsoever and discoverability was horrible too.
I started uploading my slighty edited twitch VODs to YT (a year ago, Nov. 2022) and that seems to do quite well.. So that is what I'm going to stick with for now. :)
I think that the ruling against a combined chat is due to moderation requirements by app stores and countries. Twitch HAS to moderate their content, and the only way they can moderate Kick chat is by banning the streamer showing said chat.
I still don't understand the chat overlay rule. I would think that with how it is now, would be separating the audiences.

When I started livestreaming on my YT channel, and left the lives listed as videos, my shorts views have taken a massive hit in view count! I mean going from 3-5k views to less than 100 views and NOT being shown in the shorts feed. Has anyone else noticed this?!

I have enough trouble keeping up with one chat let alone two. It feels weird as a viewer since I'm only reading one platform's comments in the chat... the ones on screen have a delay which is annoying and makes it hard to have actual conversations
I really can't see them enforcing the combined chat rule without a TOS violation to go with it to justify it. Even that feels like an excuse to prevent people from promoting other platforms more than it really is a worry about TOS violations.
I don't have a big enough audience for multi streaming but hey, if it messes up engagement and subs, good thing I only stream to YT every now and again.

I think some people are overdramatic about kick’s communities. Yeah some streamers are crazies but most of their viewers don’t go outside of the degen sphere. All the chatters I’ve had from there are super chill.
If someone knows horizontal chat widget that combines all chat then let me know, so far thers only one i would use and i dont think it can combine.
Why don't any of these third party companies make an app or something for the viewer to combine however many chats they want on their end? There seems to be so many possibilities for expansion on this idea. IMO Hopefully someone could make it for free, but that's probably a dream ask. If there is one out there. They need better advertising.

I feel that many still don't see CZcams as a live stream platform. If given a choice, they'll still watch on Twitch if you're live to multiple sites.

Harris, have you experimented with CZcams Shorts streaming? Some of my friends and I are now exclusively streaming to CZcams vertically unless there’s a big event, such as an update or piece of content that is meant to be enjoyed live.
