Great video. When I checked few months back the amp upgrade was not compatible with my 2022 g20 m340i w/ HK system. Only speakers. Is this new amp compatible with the HK system? Thanks!

would this be worth getting for my m140i that already has the harman kardon factory system?
Depends on the HK system. If it's S676A then absolutely, it would make a huge difference. If S688A then we don't offer an amp for it.
I'm very interested in this upgrade for my 2023 X3 M40i w/ 688 HK system. However, I would like to add an external subwoofer and amp. Is there a remote turn on out and an RCA out for an external subwoofer/amp combo? Thanks for your help!
We launched an amp for late model 688 HK BMW's about a month or two ago so we have an amp for you. We don't have an installation video yet but it is very similar to installing one in a Hifi G01 as shown in this video:

The only difference is there are two more connections on the PnP harness and for HK we have no choice but to supply you with dedicated power cables for our amp. It needs some juice. We have one installation video for the 688 system so far on a G20 - the wiring in a G01 like yours will be the same:

And yes, the amp has a line out and Remote out so there is no problem adding a trunk sub. We even have a video on the topic showcasing our demo X3 G01:

Would adding just this amp to the 135i base audio have a worthwhile improvement? Upgrading the speakers and the subs too makes it too expensive for me
Massive difference actually. We do recommend going full speaker+amp replacement, but the amp itself is definitely worth the money ;)

Can I use this amp if I have bavsound ghost subs ? I have the hifi system in my 18 330.
We do not recommend that, but if you try hard, you'll get the results
So why would I want this amp over the Match amp from the same manufacturer which is less money but still completely plug n play with the same specs?

*Upset… I was excited and going to purchase this amp upon the reviewer’s statement “each amp comes with its own custom mounting bracket for your car”. I called up to place an order. I have a 2020 BMW M8 Convertible with Harmon Kardon. I was told “sorry we don’t have a custom mounting bracket for your application”. 😔
Hey Johnny, thanks for that comment. We do have mounting brackets for 90% cars. Sometimes such inconvenience happens, and - as you mentioned - we inform that we don't have the bracket for a particular car. That doesn't mean the amp is not compatible though. If our website indicates the compatibility with your car, it means it will work with the audio system your BMW is equipped with, even without brackets. We are constantly working on enhancing our brackets inventory.
Thank you for replying . The M8 convertible shares roughly the same chassis as the M850 convertible which came out in 2019. That’s a lot of new potential customers. It would be nice if you could give this customer bracket some more consideration. 😊
@@johnnyd3195 Hi Johnny, the 8 series is not exactly the most popular BMW and given the fact that our R&D department is in Poland - it's going to be difficult to get our hands on one of these. Having that said more than half of our amplifier brackets have been designed "remotely" based on customer feedback and some back and forth with pictures and measurements. Convertibles don't always have the same mounting solution as there is usually less space available. In some situations it is pretty impossible to come up with a bracket remotely. Having that said we could always give it a swing if you were to be doing the installation on your own.
