HI BimmerTech, I just discovered your channel. I just bought a 2015 BMW X5 F15 X40e Hybrid M Performance. However i wanted to upgrade the 6WA -Extended Cluster with a 6WB Cluster. I bought the cluster and had a technician install it and code it. It worked at first and then on my way home i got Drivetrain Fault and then later got battery not charging. I replaced the cluster with the old (6WA) and reset the system and cleared all the codes and everything started to work as before the 6WB was installed. I contacted the supplier i bought the cluster from and he said that he did not realize that the my vehicle was a hybrid and that the 6WB would not work in the Hybrid X40e. I just wanted to confirm if this is actually the case and there was something else that was needed to be done to get the unit to work as it should. thank you and have a great day!.

Does this unit use the built in bmw microphones in the car? Also does it use bluetooth audio for the car or does it use aux to connect to the car because i have a 2016 bmw m6 f06 with b&o sound system and i dont want the audio quality to be downgraded

@BimmerTech I have a G26 - I can't seem to locate those tabs you show so I can pop up the front part. I have tried all sorts of trim tools and even a small camera to try to locate the problem. Do you know if the G20 has the same trim as the G26?

CLOSING windows/sunroof with key fob in North American BMWs - I had a "Eureka!" moment I wanted to share with fellow BMW enthusiasts. There is an app available on the Apple Store called BimmerCode. That app, along with an Bluetooth ODB2 scanner tool available from Amazon (the OBDLink MX+) allowed me to program that feature into my car. I have a 2008 525i (e60). I was initially told (in the BMW forums) that this particular feature was available in the European models, but not in the cars shipped to North America. It turns out (at least in my case with this car) that it was just a simple programming change. Some other neat things that you can do with this software includes disabling the seat belt warnings individually for the front driver and passenger seats, enable a numeric display of your speed on the instrument cluster, change lighting options, fuel reserve warning levels, A/C memory functions, and a bunch of other stuff. Check it out if you feel inclined. Stay safe, and happy motoring!
