I tried this just now and I swear I've never had my face feel so soft and look so glowy, plump and just healthy. I get VERY textured skin and get a lot of sebum build up and it can be hard to find ways to get rid of it without it being too harsh but I find this works so well. I used a "coconut body oil" that also has olive, grapeseed, almond oil and a few others and it worked *chefs kiss* definitely including this into a once or twice a week regimen. Self love y'all 😘

@@sandrasullivan6095 It applies because darker skin tones face different problems than lighter skin tones. When a group is already well represented it’s hard for them to understand why it’s necessary to point anything out because it’s already easily digestible to them; which is your boat. You’re the only ignorant person here honestly

I must say, she is really good at what she does and really knows skin well. I have been oil cleansing and washing my face with a gentle cleanser for 60 secs or more for the past 7 years and I am glad that she is raising awareness about this practice because it works wonders! Deseray Delgado yes basically! it was a rule actually designed by the woman that runs this channel! i take it a step further though and cleanse with my oil cleaner for 60 seconds and then take my regular cleanser and cleanse with that for 60 seconds. i started seeing results in about a month! also another tip is to use a cleanser with a chemical exfoliant in it (i use dermologica skin resurfacing cleanser). definitely watch her video though it may take a little bit but once the results start happening it will be forever worth it. it’s been a year and my texture hasn’t come back at all and it was something i really never thought i’d be able to get rid of 😭

So I followed along to the video and used some testers I received.
Skin before: one really clogged pore that is rlly stubborn and been there for a while, loads of black dots on my nose and breaking out cuz sis is on her period.
During: massaging my cheek and feel a little release as a huge peice of grit pops out of my skin, from this pore that’s been clogged for MONTHS-- rlly soothing and lots of little chunks came out it looked as the black dots(idk if they were blackheads or not) were still on my nose so I gave up and washed my face
After washing: BOY first thing I see is a nose with no dots on it. Idk how many times I said wow but I reached up to touch my face and BOY lemme tell you it was as soft as a babys bottom
Praise to you! This is a miracle for my skin! For shore be doing this weekly yassssss

Here's what i do , i first wash my face, steam my face for 10 min then pat my face with a towel and when my skins still warm and start off with oil cleansing right away around 20-25 min . Oil cleansing is more effective when we steam, our pores are opened, the oil can easily go in and removes all the gunks. It removes so much of whiteheads and blackheads and , after which i wash it off with lukewarm water and i double cleanse and go with my face mask and wash it off and i apply my serums and moisturizers! Makes my skin feeling super clean, soft and glowyyy!!

I’ve been oil cleansing since a teenager and I went to a esthetician last year that totally shamed me about it and told me none of my products would be absorbed by my skin because that’s was my first step. I was so confused because it truly transformed my acne over the years and when I started to use the salicylic-acid cleanser she recommended my skin got more sensitized. I use the oil-cleansing method since 6 years. My skin is now way better than it used to be. I use sweet almond oil or jojobaoil and only use cold water (never warm) and a damp cloth to remove the resedue. After that I wash my face again with cold water, but don't dry it after and put an organic cream on my face. At nighttime I also put almond oil under my eyes (it reduces puffiness in the morning) and a lipmask. I'm now 36 years old but everyone thinks I'm 23. No need for fillers or botox here:)

People who had a bad experience with oil cleansing. I hope u know that you’re supposed to follow up with a water based cleanser or else you’ll breakout like crazy. Also never ever leave the oil cleanser on your skin for more than 2 minutes- max 3 minutes, its supposed to be part of a double cleansing system not replace it, so massage the oil cleanser in your skin then rinse it then after go in with your regular cleansing wash(water based face wash). IF U LEAVE IT ON FOR FIFTEEN MINUTES IT WILL IRRITATE YOUR SKIN, especially if you have acne prone skin.

Michaëlla Kouadio For hyperpigmentation Turmeric, honey, lemon is great. Adding baking soda is optional ❤️. You don’t want to do it too often because the lemon. But, If you add baking soda you really can’t do it as much or else it’ll probably do more damage for your skin than help it. But it all depends on what you can handle ❤️.

Please don't a a DIY kind of thing. It can harm your skin more than help. Its beneficial to use chemical exfoliants, I've noticed a huge difference in my pigmentation and acne scaring since starting chemical exfoliation.

TBH I didn't see any major gunk until my third day oil cleansing but I agree that my skin has been loving it so far. I will make my final conclusions after two or three months to make sure I want to keep this in my routine.

The night before i was using BHA/ AHA exfoliator, maybe thats why I got such effect. However I am still pleased, the skin feels super smooth !!

Thank you so much for this information! I massaged my face last night with a blend of hemp oil, Castor oil and I think one or two others (I've been oil cleansing for awhile) for 15 minutes and I cannot believe my face today!!! So smooth and so many of my blackheads are gone or reduced! So excited!!! I've tried so many things and nothing has worked like this.

It does work. BUT LEMME JUST TELL YOU ABOUT THE AFTER EFFECTS:
Right after oil cleansing it felt like my whole face is CLEAN, All the oil plugs came out. I was so happy.
After like about a week, as i speak, My pores are so irritated honestly and i've had a bad breakout all over my face.
And now am still finding if it's bcz of this OIL cleansing.
Do it on your own risk, honestly!

Mrinalini Tegwal You need to use an astringent like witch hazel afterwards because yes this will expose your face to germs. Or any antibacterial toner.

I’ve been using grape seed oil (summer) and sweet almond oil (winter) as my first step cleanse with salicylic-acid cleanser as second step for two years now and my skin has never been so clear. No more acne or sebaceous filaments!

I have very textured, rough feeling skin. Ive been using hemp seed oil for my oily skin for the past 3 months. It is a favourite part of my day, giving my face a nice massage and feeling all those plugs come up nd out. Atm I oil cleanse every night, I cant stand the feeling of my skin when Ive missed a night.
