- The current generation Lexus GX was originally launched in 2010. Despite updates, the GX is old. It's also reliable, which explains why a lot of folks love it.

4Runner but pretty much same vehicle different brands
Anything with the 2UZ-FE This is still extremely reliable though. I do prefer my 5.7 in my lc200 but that 2UZ-FE probably most reliable out of them all anyone looking at the GX 460 can’t go wrong might want to hold off on that 550
In 20 years that Lexus will still be going strong while newer fancier vehicles will have gone away
All these reviewers harp on about how old it is. Not everyone wants a techno filled 2024 model car. Lots of people like older simpler cars.
Cars that just work. I love cars and speed and style. But most of all, when I go to get in my car I want it to work every time and this truck does that

I just picked one up, i had a new f150 that just constantly was broken, so i stepped back in time with my gx.. i couldn't be happier.. it just works, every time.. rather have crap mpg than be stuck on the side of the road..

Ride quality is just okay, steering is slow and vague, transmission is slow shifting and not responsive to most driving conditions, gas mileage sucks, it looks ancient inside and out, BUT it’s reliable. That’s all that matters for most people. 💁
But still they sell like hot cakes…quality never goes out of fashion….
This is what I expect to hear from people who don’t know or care about reliability build quality and longevity.
That SUV will do something most others won’t, and that drive 500,000 miles into the future with no issues
Better watch for that coolant valley leak and prey they put a good seal on it.
I am waiting for GX to join the 2023 . I want a hybrid version and I think they found it with the grand highlander engine. I hope they make a Lexus version soon

Look, if you have money for fuel, get the lx460/470/gx460. BUT, if you wanna save on fuel too, get a 4Runner v6 or a fortuner v6. Abit less tech, but you can modify the fortuner (in Asia) interior and exterior.

There have been many tech and visual design updates to try to improve and modernize it, but the core platform, engine, and vehicle date back to the 2010 model year.

It's pretty much a short of u ragging on a very quality vehicle. It may be a polished dinosaur but it's not a polished turd like most new vehicles.
