    Glad he’s back to himself, last year was kinda hard to watch, especially the last month. And b4 the narrative “they won without him” starts, if he wasn’t on fire before the injury in 2021, we’d have been complete garbage and sellers at the deadline.

      @@fredsavage7380 How did they "possibly ruin a dynasty".....they found a suitable replacement for Freeman and Freddie got to go home to play in front of his family.
      Freddie and him seem fine and I would guess the media blew the whole ordeal out of proportion. Just watch the replay of Ronnie hitting the double against LA and Freddie chasing him to second base like little kids.

      @@dylanvauiso6910 Matt Olson has done nothing to prove he can replace Freddie. Freddie has continued to be one of the best players in the world. If he doesn’t leave the Braves they win another World Series or two

    • @dylanvauiso6910
      @dylanvauiso6910 Před rokem +3

      @@fredsavage7380 Matt Olson has most certainly proven he can handle Freeman's shoes. Check out their baseball reference pages if you want. They are strikingly similar players from a career stat-line.
      I do agree Freeman is the better complete hitter and fielder, but not by much (oh by the way, Olson is 5 years younger, so the upside is higher). You are getting a very comparable player for 2 more years (with more years being in his prime than Freeman's contract) at roughly the same overall $ amount.
      There is nothing to say they will not "win another World Series or two". They are in a better position at this point in this season than they have been in the past several.

    This man is being taken to the cleaners . Mookie Betts is getting $360mil, Acuna $110mil. So is Mookie worth 3 Acuna’s? Not hardly, he ain’t worth 1.5 Acunas. His deal needs to be restructured,, American companies shouldn’t rob foreigners due to a language barrier

    • @dawgsfan1196
      @dawgsfan1196 Před rokem +1

      @@1RobertSmith what part of "he chose security over money" can you not understand. Acuña HIMSELF said he was happy with the contract because he was gonna play in Atlanta for a long time. And once again Acuña understands English so no the braves did not take advantage of him

      @@1RobertSmith10 years and 124 million is getting robbed? Bs he was like 21 or 22 when he signed that. If they braves really wanted to screw over Acuna they wouldn't have singed him to a contract at all and played hard ball with arbitration. When this contract is up after 2028 I'm sure he'll get what he truly deserves. The braves took all the risk on a young but unbelievably talented player, What if he didn't recover properly from the knee?
