    I don’t think most people, even gym goers, realize just how much technique and dedication goes into getting truly shredded. By shredded I’m referring to stage lean. I don’t consider myself to have a very good grasp on this subject but at least I’m getting the concept now and trying to watch Paul’s videos to learn from them. It’s such a deep subject and it frustrates me when friends or family think they know what they are talking about but clearly don’t. Results are the evidence that what someone is doing truly works or not. People throw the word “science” around but it’s only a word. Guys like Paul really delve into the specifics on these matters and I know everyone here really appreciates this content. At the end of the day, I’m an idiot that thought I knew a lot about fitness/bodybuilding/fat loss...but really I’ve got soooo much to learn. I just wish my friends and family would realize they don’t know it all either lol.

    I think I might want to finally have a conversation with you after my first show this year in 3 weeks to see if maybe we can work together for Nationals. I've been creeping your content for a while but enjoy prepping myself, but I want to get to the next level and learn more, and I like the way you approach prep.

  • @philippegelinas3083

    I like the analogy of the balloon, for someone who just wants to look good without prepping you would probably recommend eating in a similar way? Adding carbs slowly maybe not each day but each week after a cut, pretty much a reverse diet😝 When you think about it, linear peeking is pretty much a reverse diet on a shorter timeframe.

    • @PaulRevelia
      @PaulRevelia  Před 5 lety +6

      Funny you mention that, it's how we figured out this was the best way to peak because athlete's who reverse dieted between shows would get leaner and harder while adding food and doing less cardio.

    • @philippegelinas3083

    Awesome contest Paul. Question... what if you have to make weight (3pm) and need to deplete to do so and then need to carb up as quickly as possible for the following morning? Is there anything one can do other than eating as many carbs as possible? Thank you.

    • @PaulRevelia
      @PaulRevelia  Před 5 lety +3

      endurance athletes are not worried about appearance, I am very familiar with the concept but I have seen disastrous results trying to look 2% better and ending up 20% worse.

  • @nizzyneyrogers1181
    @nizzyneyrogers1181 Před 5 lety +1

    So deplete the week before and then slowly add carbs everyday the following week? How do you determine how many carbs to start with at the beginning of peak week?

    • @PaulRevelia
      @PaulRevelia  Před 5 lety +2

      No depleting, carbs start at normal numbers

    • @nizzyneyrogers1181
      @nizzyneyrogers1181 Před 5 lety

      So diet until absolutely shredded. Once shredded, start adding 40-50 grams of carbs to your current carbs for a full week while monitoring progress up until show day?
