Exploring Thailand's Breathtaking Temples: Start with the 'Reclining Buddha'!

Thailand is land of fascinating temples. One of the must see temples in Bangkok Wat pho also known as Temple of reclining Buddha, its official name is Wat Phra Chetuphon Wimon Mangkhalaram Rajwaramahawihan. The 15 meters high and 43 meters long statue is placed along the gold leaf and bares 4 meter long feet entrusted with exquisite mother of pearl decorations. Wat pho also houses one thousand images of Buddha. The temple is a must visit place in Thailand Bangkok.
The temple is first on the list of six temples in Thailand classed as the highest grade of the first-class royal temples. It is associated with King Rama I who rebuilt the temple complex on an earlier temple site. It became his main temple and is where some of his ashes are enshrined.
