There’s tons of genuinely great gameplay and quality of life improvements and, most notably, Bob is back.
But so is Dust 2. That’s right. Dust 2. We don’t know. Let’s talk about it.

Dude I remember when that damn cobblestone halloween event happened that changed Cobblestone and everyone was like wait wth why is it uhhh not changing back little did we fucking know lol, also A site was literally so small you had to plant in specific spots if anyone remembers that stupid shit it's so sad how they messed that map up
Community has been past ''Bring back Train, Cobble & Cache'' for 6 months ever since we've entered the cheater era. Nobody cares about maps, smurfs, balance, graphics, operations, skins, etc people just want the game to be playable above 10-15k mmr.

I already did some testing, if you kill an enemy with a HE grenade and jump just as the grenade detonates, you get wings on your grenade too, which is pretty funny. You can get winged flames too lol.
It's only a matter of time before a pro sees their teammate die from a winged grenade and uses that info to know an enemy jumped onto forklift or ladder.

I was testing it though because it felt like something Valve would cut corners on. It doesn't seem like it should give you wings for just timing your hop lol.

Some old maps aren't ready to go until next year. But yes. Better anticheat is surely their only goal, probably alongside the next operation. So maybe summertime, aka another couple of months

Gabe follower showed they updated vac live and they added overwatch back to cs2, so ye they are working on the cheater issue and it's getting better

Because it doesn’t have a working anticheat, any of the map remakes the community has wanted, changed the way left hand works, and brought Dust 2 back, something no one asked for.

they just got back from vacation so probably had most of it ready to go before their 2 week break and actually pushed it out once they got back not weird tbh

The fact Overpass was the map removed and Dust II was put in it's place. Blows my mind, Dust is just a run and gun map, Nobody actually tries to play it legit.

Most spinbotter videos I’ve seen also enable a bhop script so they keep jumping across the map while killing.
This gives valve data points where that kill feed appears more frequently. Makes detecting cheaters slightly easier.

They added dust2 because of China/PGL Major. Crossfire is the most popular Tac FPS in China and the most popular map in that game is a dust 2 clone.

I heard somewhere that there’s a Chinese Crossfire tournament that’s around the same time as some other CS tournaments, and that that game has a Dust II map. If that’s true, I could totally see Valve making the business decision to bring back Dust II to appeal to Chinese audiences.

The 70% thing lines up with my 20k+ experience. at right around 20k myself i quit after i got 7 games in a row of spinbot v spinbot.
No one is talking about the trolling that the buy menu will allow. I tested it last night, when I had a premade on my team. One tried to drop another an Awp, I was nowhere near them and I grabbed it through the buy menu. I gave it back, I was just testing it out, but that's a trolls dream. They need it to be like valorant, where someone can request it or something. The community is too toxic for that mechanic lol.

Dust 2 is THE map. Its not the best map but thats not what Dust is about. Dust2 is the battleground, the equalizer, the final destination.

I never liked overpass but inferno REALLY had to go and dust 2 was not the replacement.
Dust 2 for me is more of a casual map you can play on instead of being played at the highest level by pros
0:47 I get that only ≈10% of people are left handed but imagine if from the release of cs2 everyone was forced to play with left-handed view model with right-handed view model completely disabled. Right-handed enjoyers would be complaining and I would support them even though I only use left-handed, but when the tables are turned y’all get petty and say it’s insignificant/unnecessary. 😤😂 Glad I can enjoy the game with a view model that matches my IRL POV.👌

There's a concern I have with the the left handed weapons - Since it's a clientside effect that affects where the "smoke tracer" passes, we will see a situation where some pro player will spot an enemy from firing through smoke while left handed
People are gonna bug-abuse the hell out of the dropped menu. Does it actually teleport you or was that a cut? Never add teleportation to games 💀
I can confirm, 3rd game after update, Mirage, we're losing 3/7 and one of our random teammate start playing beyblade, the match still continue :/

Every time Dimitri mentions the Active Duty map pool, he NEVER mentions Tuscan and that makes me sad
I understand why D2 gets a lot of hate, but personally, I love it. I think it's an extremely balanced map, and is very focussed on your mechanical skills, especially aim - which is why I love Counter Strike in the first place. Obv haven't played CS now in ages because of the cheater issues.

Im a cs noob, but even in low elo i find theres a decent amount of cheaters. Had a match in silver 3 where 1 person on my team and 2 people on the other team were b hop scripting and one tapping everyone with scouts/auto snipers. It was wild for such low elo.

5:47 Actually got hit by this yesterday for some reason, restarted my steam and worked just fine afterward.
I knew they weren't adding such a basic feature for a reason. They suppressed us of so many essentials from csgo in cs2 at launch just to SLACK by making a big deal out of anything every 4 months
all these features werent even a setting, they were built-in in the source engine
and they dont even have a huge team working on cs2, let them cook brother

I like Dust2, but I like it as a casual map.
U say u don´t care about left hand gun model, but the majority of people have a dominant right eye.
Meaning for most players, keeping the right side of the screen clear is more beneficial than always having the gun model cover that space.

as long as the market is still functioning and the game is barely playable, players will cope. What's 10 more updates ?
Even Casual has become closeted HvH, usually spinbotters appear and 1 or 2 rounds max they are kicked. But people with full inventories + glove knife combos are still blatantly wallhacking like no tomorrow. Hopped on a match yesterday to finally see my guns on the left hand again, the first thing that happens is i end up spectating a guy trying to shoot through a smoke + a wall on mirage, blatantly walling and after further investigating out of the 20accs on that match, 9 were either bought accounts or brand new, 5 guys were blatantly walling, 2 of them with skins. Cheater Strike 2 has come to stay for sure. After that I decided its better to become gordon freeman and clap some aliens or even perhaps become the most wanted streetracer in all of rockport for the one hundreth time over 😂
Left hand is cool but I wish they adjust text and stickers so it’s actually readable instead of mirrored. Doing it for stickers doesn’t even seem that hard
no offence, but stop carrying about skins and stickers please. This game has become a market and we getting more updates for the market instead of the actual game
@@mrwave9475i don’t see why this is even that big of a deal. It’s quite a minor adjustment for stickers, it’s just having the option to mirror the text. I heavily doubt this would take that much effort, and I heavily doubt the expertise required for anti cheat aligns with the expertise for basic modeling. The game obviously needs new content, but this is just a very minor change that is purely QoL and probably takes like null effort
All of those update features can't make up for the big problems
Honestly this is a good update, the only thing i don’t like is removing overpass instead of mirage or inferno (vertigo goated btw).
