Hey there. For those that use it, there was some update on Foundry's end that bork'd the dimensions of the default output. To make sure that everything is aligned correctly, use the following grid settings in Foundry:
Grid Size: 82
Image Dimensions: Width - 2876 / Height 1525
Padding Percentage: 0.25
Offset Background: Horizontal - 43 / Vertical 5
If you use these then everything should be good to go.
if I ever make a combat drill build I'm going to name the drill Algorithmic Punch
An invaluable tool. I'm excited to dive in!
oh wow this is great for battletech
I completely forgot about this and am super happy it's out!
finally Lancer-themed content
im so used to watching your videos from years ago that i was like "wait 18th of june? thats today"
just got this program a couple weeks ago so i appreciate the showcase!
The Interpoint, as usual, is killing it.
I need a map maker but for IRL
2 video in 1 giorno, fra e' potentissimo
LETS GOOO, ive been searching for this lmao
I've been using this to make maps quick, and then if i have time basing an Inkarnate map off of the layout generated.
I should see if i can export the little height indicators to use in inkarnate as well, they're nice :)
Amazing, thank you.
well shit. now I have no excuse not to run a Lancer campaign.
Now I need an isometric map maker that isn't Foundry
Foundry can work as a map maker?
@@11dragonkid11 It sure can! If you have the right plugins and assets, you can use Foundry's Tile system to assemble full isometric maps in Foundry.
Just looking for "Isometric Lancer on Foundry" should get you the Google doc. It's not a _cakewalk,_ there's steps to it and I haven't fully mastered it yet, but it's definitely doable.
Foundry VTT, yeah I make all my isometric Lancer maps in it
@@11dragonkid11 It's not necessarily a map maker, but it does support making the maps in the actual scenes of the world, mainly via its tile system. You can upload individual assets (pictures of buildings, mountains, etc.) and drag them out onto the grid as tiles. So you are making a map in Foundry, but you can't natively export that map for use in another program, for example.
(That's how the "grape juice isometrics" module works. It alters the grid to give the illusion of the scene being isometric. You set the background as usual and then drag and drop individual assets onto it to set up the map.)
TWENTY FIVE DOLLARS?!?!?
There's rpg map maker that costs this much, TO RENT, PER YEAR.
Honestly this is a bargain if you play ttrpg campaigns frequently.
Yeah ngl I get wanting to use free software & it's chill if you do. But the creators of this should charge a fair rate lol and $25 makes sense. It doesn't seem like a software that was easy to make & there are asset packs that charge as much!
$25 is nothing compared to the value that this tool has given me in only a few short months. That price is extremely reasonable. Also, as dragonkid said, it's a one-time payment and you have the program for life.
