Pfaff 1222, lower gear replacement.

Not being able to get the repair Manual I had to draw on my past experience on replacement of the Lower gear ( I called it a cam in the Video) it's a lot More Involved that I originally believed. Slide the shaft right, then remove a location screw, remove the Shuttle mechanism and all the screws and clips along the shaft then slide it to the left. Quite involved but be patient and allow a lot of time and try and do it in one day while the idea is new in your mind. I can't quite understand why this machine has a nylon gear in a place so difficult to get at. The next time it will be easier to do . Sorry the camera view isn't extremely visual but it will certainly give you an idea what to look for. Once you have removed the Reverse bar linkage across the base everything will be more visible. I am not a technician, but an enthusiast. The the skilled that probably is obvious. I just hope this eases the pressure for others who have the same problem and are not able to find repair info.
