He’s lost the plot, its getting repetitive. Why not work on your gear changes, try changing faster because you’re losing power on every change, which is why your higher power car is getting beaten.. practice makes perfect.

In terms of styling and performance they were on top, reliability on the other hand..... It's a pity because otherwise the cars would be close to perfect. Goes for all the German sports cars though. Imagine if the E60 M5 would be reliable...
m6 e63 is the bmw legend and the e46 gtr is the worst one bcs there are non of them right now

Ofc the B9 RS4 looks great with a mad performance but that B5 is every Audi's fan dream car, it was so fast that both c63 amg and m3 couldn't keep up.

You know absolutely nothing about these cars. The b5 was only made from 1999-2001 which the c63 wasn't even in production until 2007 and there is no comparison between the two.

Started way ahead of B5....would have lost otherway
...but if he started "exactly as the woman dropped her arms" then he jump start because there 'd be some certain reaction time that he shouldn't start below. (like a 100m sprinter can start after the sound of pistol but still he had jump start...). But maybe I'm wrong. Anyway guys, just check the first start! Except blue car other 3 has normal, natural reaction time and they started (almost) together. Even the commentator said that "decent start". If you wanna see the the performance of the cars then check out the first start, that's relevant.
@@finittoo this drag race is not about drivers reaction, it is about cars performance. So all that matters is that b7 won only beacause its driver had a faster reaction time, not because it is a faster car.

Same here, I remember when I first saw a Grey MTM B5 with flat spoked MTM alloy wheels that perfectly filled the wheel arches, it just looked perfect in every way. I think 2nd round the B5 got a poor launch, so let's call B5 and B7 a draw. Not bad at all!

Power vs Sound.
HGP and MTM have B9 612hp kits that have it blow 911 Turbo S out if the Water. Combined with a less safe setup then Audi puts on it from the factory and you have a car that will rip 911s up on the ractrack and eat miles. While still being really fuel efficient.

All wonderful cars. I'd still have to go with the b5. Tuning capability for these is insane and they still look the best out of the bunch. Had a chance to ride in a b5 s4 with 690 to the wheels and it's still the best and scariest track ride I've ever had. 4 rings to rule them all.
Idea for a video: do a drag race/rolling/braking with the same car but going from weakest engine to most powerful to see how much extra bang you get for your buck (e.g.: BMW series 1 116i vs 120i vs 140i or audi a3 vs s3 vs rs3, etc). Just a thought!

B5 RS4 for me. That car looked amazing at the time it came out (still does) and the performance was astounding (still is).

it started there then went to the lack of brake boosting during 50 pull then over to saying things like "porsche did all the engine internals" on the rs2 ... like yeah audi didnt make like 700whp with that engine a decade prior so it needed porsche's help, the whole thing just went badly

you see thats why we love the manual gearbox, its all about us the drivers!! if you are a b9 owner you wont even bother to race cause you know the car is too strong and its going to win, but if you drive a manual its up to you if you win or not!

Great drag race! I love, literally love these four RS-Audis. If I had those 200.000 plus Euros I would start my car collection with them. It would be disappointing if the latest car wasn't the best. However a naturally aspirated V8 reving until 8,000 rpm is just gorgeous. And the RS2 is a league of it's own. Thanks for that video! I will watch it over & over again.

the b5 has by far the best sound of these cars here and is also one of the best sounding machines of all time ! it's so sad that all the new cars are just high reving screamers which do strange pooping sounds when shifting gears. also there's no manual gear box available any more. just overpowered machines no one could drive without all these computers doing all the work for the driver. i'd love to see more cars like the b5 today with manual gear box and such a damn good sound.

I owned a B5 A4, manual, 2.8 Quattro, and while it wasn’t fast, it was a monster in bad weather and great for blasting down dirt roads. Would love a B5 S4!
What the hell was the RS2 driver doing, he wasn't even launching it. If the clutch wasn't up for a launch there was no point bringing it.
A 1/4 mile in 16 plus is much slower than that car's capable of.

Even without carbon build up, many didn’t make the stated 420bhp. Mine managed 400 bhp max irrespective of carbon clean up. I know there is debate about transmission losses that can fudge the figures but it doesn’t feel like a 400+ bhp car most of the time

@A true petrol-head the old UrS crowd is pretty small here. I'm sure by now anyone that wanted an RS2 probably built their own from the s6/s4 avant between 92 and 96 when they were sold here. I had a 93 s4 sedan that I miss dearly. What a cool car.
The RS 2 was a real dream car for me... and still is! And it has to be in this glorious RS blue (Nogaro Blue).
It is the reference for all the following RS models, though they are a lot faster nowadays. Audi never forgets the best parts of their history, so they presented a RS 4 Avant (B8) Nogaro Selection in 2014 (20 years after the RS 2).

The RS2 belongs to Audi, and they didn't allow them to floor it when launching
A 3rd run was needed for that B5. I bet if he didn't jump the start, the B5 would've taken the 2nd place again. That 2.7TT engine may have less power, but it develops more torque across wider range of RPMs. It's at its peak of 440Nms @ 2500 all the way to 6000rpms, while the NA V8 in the B7 peaks with 430Nm @ 5500rpms (before that it's less). And as far as acceleration goes, torque is the thing that pulls you away, not horse power. That's also why the B9 destroyed everything, despite having just 30hp more than the B7. Its monstrous torque (600Nm !!!) just shot it away like a rocket.
Amazing how the B5 still looks great and makes some newer cars in the dust

No it isn't. If I'm not mistaken the R8 V8 was co-developed with Audi's sister company, Lamborghini
@@MrHu58 The V8 in the R8 is more or less the same engine as the V8 in the B7 RS4, only with certain parts moved about in order to make it suit a mid-engines setup.
The RS2, B5, and B7 are my favorite Audi and even the new B9 is just as good too a great alternative to the M3 imo

Great video. Love the RS Avant's! The new car really is a permanent car that had everyday capability. But that B5 looks and drives so well. I loved both V8 cars, but they lack punch low down. What a treat to drive them all back to back. Only thing is that new RS4 is very expensive!

Are you kidding me with these times!? 17 seconds for RS2!? This RS2 can do under 14 seconds, I am sure. Also, are all these cars stock engines or stage 2? B7 RS4 have 309kw, B5 RS4 have 280kw, but B5 stage 2 can have 330kw and then it would be comparable to B9 RS4. Still my favourite is B5 RS4, which is even with stock setup as fast as this pointless B7 machine, but B9 looks good also. Audi S & RS origin is turbo engine & quattro.

People i am sorry i own 2 x Audi RS2's that are stock. You cant post a clip of a RS2 running like this. Where i come from you call this false advertising. Something is seriously wrong with driver or the car itself.

RS2 would actually launch really well if it wasn't a cherished Audi UK car. They are savage with their turbo lag then massive hit of power. Couldn't get bored of am RS2. I see a British racing green model being daily driven in Perth Western Australia.

The build quality of these shines trough even on video, every gen has so much character. Ultimate dailies imo.
Yea what the hell happened from like 2010-2015.. i feel like the built quality of the interiours went way down hill.. more plastic, less wood and leather.. and the interiour of the S3-RS3 was simplly dreadfull.. looked like it belonged in a kia from 2008.. the 2023 model is alot better but its the same dam car, i would rather buy a used one with 15k miles on it for 15,000 dollars cheaper

All generations are awesome and sounds awesome, by playing with the old and with the new generations of supercars and etc... It can be about everything but it really sounds awesome. All of those cars were very amazing, especially it was very amazing that these cars are faster as the old best named cars outside in this world.🤩👌
