As for cricket here in Ontario... The sport is growing and in the city I live in, an indoor cricket bating facility has opened, allowing players to practice all year round. Im super exited for this year. Sadly I will not be on a team, but Lord willing, I will hopefully be able to play in 2025.
Keep up the great work of growing cricket In BC and inspiring others to grow the sport throughout all of Canada!

Thanks for the kind words of support! Slowly we are getting more outdoor facilities in BC. We are very excited for this coming Summer. I hear it is very big in Ontario?
@@alpinecricketer Cricket is growing leaps and bounds in Ontario and I do believe that this year will be bigger than ever.
Most of the growth is coming from people that have immigrated from Cricketing nations, (majorly, India, Pakistan, Sir Lanka, the West Indies and Afghanistan) But I do think cricket is growing among the larger masses including what would be considered as native or traditional Canadians. The sport is growing amongst all cultures, races and religions and I couldn't be happier.
The sport has a long way to go (even in Ontario) to be considered a popular sport, but it is growing steadily every year.
I see more and more popular stores offering cricket gear (however mostly online) and more stores that are strictly selling cricket gear are popping up even if they are operating out of someone's garage lol.
I just hope and pray that more people realize the beauty of this sport.

Leave it on length, especially early in your innings. When you start seeing them and used to the pace, rock back and pull them.
I've thought about that since, I probably should have ducked it. It was coming right at me.
I can’t see how exactly your batting but when opening normally they put out straight fast bowlers so try just defending the first 4 balls at least until you get in the grove then start hitting them
That was my plan 😂 I was just trying to defend the ball not score off it in any way. It might have squared me up a little bit it was coming right at me so I felt like i didn't have much choice. I was surprised by the level of bounce from the surface. I will be ducking or swerving next time
