I think it’s funny that, canonically, Heather spent an entire evening with Kathleen and they NEVER realized that they both know Beej. Makes the episode about Heather and Beej even more hilarious
This is one of those bits where I have 0 personal experience with the subject matter, but I can still appreciate the craft that went in to the jokes. Well done.
For anyone wondering, the locations on the map are 家 (ie) Home, ムーンベース (Munbesu) Moonbase, 牧師館カフェ (Bokushi-kan kafe) Parsonage Cafe, and イエロージャケット (Ierojaketto) Yellowjacket.
I already thought this was funny before I started playing Persona 5, but it’s so much funnier after. I appreciate that in the first scene, the in-game date is correct for Kathleen’s current goal.
I understood that ot was a bunch of Persona jokes, and mimicking the gameplay, but what I really didn't get was Alex's joke. No idea. Anime is beyond me.
Wait so does that mean Frieza knows Ginyu's Body Change Technique? And if so...who taught who? Is Frieza's body not his real body and he just stole it? I have so many questions now!!
I don't play Persona 5, but I still loved this episode. The work that was put into the graphics, the editing, the voices... it was amazing. To repeat what others have said, awesome to see Cori and Heather in the Hustleverse. Also, Ian not wearing beige or black!
IS THAT LITTLEKURIBO!?!?! Also, HEATHER AND CORI IN CH!?!? And AN EPISODE CHALK FULL OF PERSONA REFERENCES!?!? This is a beautiful gift. That thumbnail pulled me in so fast.
From discussions about wrestling to doing voice acting for them, it's amazing to hear Little Kuriboh join this funny group of people, even for just a cameo appearance! Also, the meta-ness of him being a voice in the episode about making new friends is not lost on us!
Ah, thank you! I was wondering how I'd never heard of someone so many other people here knew. I watch a good deal of LRR stuff, but have zero interest in wrestling.
Of course! Martin (AKA Little Kuriboh) is not only a guy who does wrestling content. His CZcams channel only recently started doing wrestling content. He is better known as the creator of Yu-Gi-Oh! The Abridged Series (highly recommended, by the way!)
Of course! Martin (AKA Little Kuriboh) is not only a guy who does wrestling content. His CZcams channel only recently started doing wrestling content. He is better known as the creator of Yu-Gi-Oh! The Abridged Series (highly recommended, by the way!)
Hmm, I'll have to check it out. I enjoyed the first few seasons of the original Yu-Gi-Oh when it was on TV back in the day. And this abridged version has been mentioned a couple times recently.
HOW MUCH DO I NEED TO DONATE TO YOUR PATREON TO MAKE THIS A FULL SERIES. I WANT TO SEE THIS AS A FULL SERIES YES I AM SHOUTING BECAUSE THIS IS AWESOME AND WORTH SHOUTING OVER.
HELP! SOMEONE STOLE MY CAPS LOCK KEY! DID THEY STEAL YOURS TOO? IS IT A CAPS LOCK KEY STEALING CRIME WAVE? P.S. THEY MAKE CH QUITE FREQUENTLY, SO I GUESS IT SORT OF IS A SERIES. THOUGH I THOUGHT THE PERSONA STYLE WAS PRETTY SWEET I SUSPECT IT WOULD WEAR THIN QUICKLY. STILL, MAYBE CH IN VARIOUS VIDEO GAME STYLES WOULD BE AWESOME. THAT BEING SAID, I'M GETTING OLD AND HAVE GRADUALLY PLAYED FEWER AND FEWER GAMES. I PROBABLY WOULDN'T GET THE REFERENCES EVENTUALLY AND THAT WOULD MAKE ME SAD. P.P.S. I HOPE THEY CATCH THE DASTARDLY CAPS LOCK KEY THIEF SOON.
So, Beej is single in the CH universe? Also, mildly shocked Kathleen didn't recognize Cori from the yard sale and slightly disappointed this didnt include the move. However I am Super Duper pleased with how great this episode turned out!
I would have been more shocked if Kathleen had recognized Cori... that would mean she paid attention to people and that would have undermined this episode :D
Tim Sargent I don't think we've ever seen Kathleen and Heather in the same scene in cH before. Heather and *Beej*, yes (if you count the cH side story "The Story of Beej), but Kathleen wasn't around to see us together, I don't think.
I guess Kathleen would have met Heather through Beej at some point off screen in the cH universe, at like a company party, or bringing him pants, or something? It is true we, like Jon Snow, know nothing at this point other than she and Cori are friends, and they like anime. Looking forward to further character development and slightly curious if they'll appear in the FN universe as well =)
Wow, this episode was worth waiting for. Mike Lunsford does some amazing art; his DB posters are always on point. And it's great to see you working with Martin. This helps push my idea of a Mark Remark/Sidewalk Slam cross over show.
Watching it the first time and never having played Persona: Oh this is funny. Watching it now while going through my first Persona playthrough: OH MY WORD THIS IS AMAZING
Persona is my favorite game series, and to see you guys make a parody of the later game brought a huge ass smile across my face. Barely see your content pop up on my stream, can’t believe I didn’t see this months ago
This was so much fun. Glad to see Heather and Cori making it into the CH verse. Also the look on James' face when Kathleen ignores him telling her to work. Beautiful.
So I just watched this at two in the morning after finally convincing myself to stop playing Persona... Fate is cruel and I'm now questioning my reality
The first 50 seconds, they didn't actually film. They just left a camera on by accident and thus captured a random/normal morning. Then they wrote the rest of the ep around that.
Man, I was loving this already (despite my only contact with Persona being other works referencing it) then outta fucking nowhere a Strike Witches joke! I unironically adore that show but damn that shade was so unexpectedly perfect I ain't even jokingly internet mad.
I initially avoided this video because I was staunchly avoiding even incidental spoilers for P5, wanting to go in as blind as possible. I'm now about 40 hours into it on a borrowed PS4, and it just occurred to me to go back and watch this video. Worth the wait!
You do realize that this was fantastic? Well, in case you didn't. THIS WAS FANTASTIC! Holey moley, where to even start. I loved the camera focus change right at the beginning, the graphics couldn't have been better. Audio... worked! (I put that there because I wanted to sound funny riding on the occasional hiccup during LRL ^^, but it sounded really good. everything was mastered really well!) The storyboard was great. I could nitpick, but I won't because I didn't find any. Loved it!
The flavor was spot on, I was grinning and laughing the entire way through. Awesome work LRR, and awesome work to Mike Lundsford and MangledPixel for the graphical parts as well :D THAT WAS AWESOME!
I think this might be my new favorite cH ever, surpassing It's Magic. Love all the P5 jokes, Mr. Lunsford knocked the art out of the friggen park (I think Heather's portrait is my favorite), Cori and Heather are officially introduced in the Hustleverse (is that what the proper term is? I dunno), and MOTHER BUSSING LITTLE KURIBOH as Baxter?! What's not to love?
Having started playing Persona 5 based on Kathleen's hype, I adore this episode. Also yay for Corrie and Heather! Also I love that Heather is the type of friend you call over when you're worried random internet person is going to get stabby.
I like that between this episode and "Discovery" there's the implication that commidorehustle Beej and Heather keep their home and work life so separate that Kathleen met each of them individually, under completely different circumstances, before learning that they were married
Not to take away from this episode's many amazing qualities and reduce it to basic LRR nostalgia, but to do exactly that damn do I miss seeing those end credits all the time
Alex had an excellent last line. Those drawings were looked very accurate for anime. The voice for the cat was amusing. Overall effective +1 level up episode.
I blew through P5 in my two weeks off work. I've had similar exchanges about the time of day with my roommates four or five times. I also lost two in-game weeks of progress once because I nodded off and got killed by the Reaper in Mementos...
I'm only vaguely familiar with Persona but the graphics for this episode were amazing! I would totally play a flash game with the LRR crew in that style.
I think it’s funny that, canonically, Heather spent an entire evening with Kathleen and they NEVER realized that they both know Beej. Makes the episode about Heather and Beej even more hilarious
This also implies that Kathleen went to beej and Heather's house/apartment and didn't realize that beej lived there
@@Ovcharka88that's because she went to Cori's place
the least believable part of this is that commodoreHUSTLE graham was up and about at 9:30AM
Eh... He's becoming a responsible adult in is old age. ;-)
You try sleeping in with a child.
commodoreHUSTLE Graham doesn't have a child. They found a baby at the old Moonbase
and they can't just get rid of it because it's an expensive prop
LittleKuriboh on the cat voice, Featherweight and MangledPixel doing graphics? This is one of the highest-quality cHs ever!
hatchcrazy Mike Lunsford did the illustrations, not Featherweight.
Then Mike Lunsford is our god instead, for this was glorious. Praise be unto him.
I hope the Patreon money fed him well, for it was worth it.
Whoops, I guess I just assume whenever I see art on LRR stuff that it's Featherweight's doing. Either way, it's still fantastic.
Sounded like Frieza from TFS.
Edit: Ah cause he voices both, niceeeeeee!
I love LittleKuriboh
I feel like James:
"I like beer!"
"But not anime?"
"...after enough beer."
Heather being there incase cathleen got stabby is a whole lot more terrifying now after she joined main cast
Only thing missing from this parody was Baxter telling Kathleen that its time to go to bed.
Can we all just take a moment to recognize how much Alex looks like Iwai, the airsoft gunshop keeper from P5
I think Alex has heard this enough.
I can totally imagine Kathleen seeing the world through persona all the time.
I already thought this was funny before I started playing Persona 5, but it’s so much funnier after.
I appreciate that in the first scene, the in-game date is correct for Kathleen’s current goal.
I feel like I'd get these jokes so much more if I played Persona. Either way, great videos as always.
Speaking as a Persona die-hard, this video couldn't have been more spot on if it had been developed by Atlus.
Bad Request this is exactly how I feel every Friday Nights.
I understood that ot was a bunch of Persona jokes, and mimicking the gameplay, but what I really didn't get was Alex's joke. No idea. Anime is beyond me.
LITTLE KURIBO!!!!!
Indeed!!! But... why the Freeza voice though?
Because he's voicing a cat. Which other voice would he use?
ChannelSixONine does that mean the secret alternate ending to this episode was the crew making friends with little kuriboh?!
My reaction as well!
I was wondering why the cat was Freeza and also who could put on that voice, it all makes sense now.
Top tier content. That art was flawless!
Littlekuriboh!? My circle of interests tightens ever closer!
Also I just realized after re listening to that voice that this means Baxter is the reincarnation of TFS Frieza
Wait so does that mean Frieza knows Ginyu's Body Change Technique? And if so...who taught who? Is Frieza's body not his real body and he just stole it? I have so many questions now!!
Well according to GT he was in HFIL with the Ginyu force so I imagine that's how he learned it
I don't play Persona 5, but I still loved this episode. The work that was put into the graphics, the editing, the voices... it was amazing. To repeat what others have said, awesome to see Cori and Heather in the Hustleverse. Also, Ian not wearing beige or black!
He's recovering from his beigewashing (which is like brainwashing, but taupier) and learning to make his own color choices again.
yeah, never played any of the Persona games but absolutely loved this sketch.
I see that Kathleen is going for the Cori and Heather S-Rank.
A wise choice.
IS THAT LITTLEKURIBO!?!?! Also, HEATHER AND CORI IN CH!?!? And AN EPISODE CHALK FULL OF PERSONA REFERENCES!?!? This is a beautiful gift. That thumbnail pulled me in so fast.
the weaboo confidant part killed me
I wonder what the Weeaboo tarot card would look like.

Uh, can we get the stinger as a clean MP3/M4A? I... uh... need to make that my text alert on all my friends' phones.
Mike Geiger i bet somebody could sample it for you. ( meaning i cant)
Please!!!!!!!!
Please as well I need that as a ring tone
Here's a wetrasnfer link we.tl/vD7Y4onWq9
will be up for a week or so
Danke!
HOW MUCH DO I NEED TO DONATE TO YOUR PATREON TO MAKE THIS A FULL SERIES. I WANT TO SEE THIS AS A FULL SERIES YES I AM SHOUTING BECAUSE THIS IS AWESOME AND WORTH SHOUTING OVER.
"Full Series" as in you want more long form videos, or "Full Series" as in you want more videos in the Persona 5 style?
Yes
STILL, MAYBE CH IN VARIOUS VIDEO GAME STYLES WOULD BE AWESOME.

taitaisanchez I AGREE WITH YOUR OPINION OF THIS SKETCH AS WELL AS YOUR CONTROVERSIAL IDEAS ABOUT INDOOR SPEAKING VOICES!
So, Beej is single in the CH universe? Also, mildly shocked Kathleen didn't recognize Cori from the yard sale and slightly disappointed this didnt include the move. However I am Super Duper pleased with how great this episode turned out!
Tim Sargent "Beej is single" --> based on what?
I would have been more shocked if Kathleen had recognized Cori... that would mean she paid attention to people and that would have undermined this episode :D
Well, if Heather and Beej were together in CH, then Kathleen would have recognized her
Tim Sargent I don't think we've ever seen Kathleen and Heather in the same scene in cH before. Heather and *Beej*, yes (if you count the cH side story "The Story of Beej), but Kathleen wasn't around to see us together, I don't think.

Am I the only one who thinks Baxter sounds like Frieza from TFS? I think their the same voice actor.
Not surprising. The voice actor is LittleKuriboh, the guy who made yugioh abridged and played Frieza in the dragon ball abridged series.
Baxter was absolutely perfect, both in personality and in voice. And I see that it was little kuriboh who did it? What Joy!
Watching it the first time and never having played Persona: Oh this is funny.
Watching it now while going through my first Persona playthrough: OH MY WORD THIS IS AMAZING
@7:13 The new version of "Cat Loves Food Ya Ya Ya" leaves much to be desired.
So THAT'S where Yugi's soul ended up!. Eh, could be worse.
LittleKuriboh as a guest star made my evening.
commodoreHUSTLE more or less started with Kathleen playing persona 4 and now she is playing 5.
Can confirm, having now played Persona 5 Royal, this episode is so on point I had to stifle cackles on the bus.
I love the drawn versions of the cast! So cute and awesome!
The persona detail and actions were awesome, well played LRR!
Love all the references, and a great quality video too!
Never played any persona games, but this was fun. The art was INSANE.
The transition and UI are so, so perfect, they're astoundingly good. Props to Mangeled Pixel.
This is one of the best Hustles of all time. Thank you LRR!
Persona is my favorite game series, and to see you guys make a parody of the later game brought a huge ass smile across my face. Barely see your content pop up on my stream, can’t believe I didn’t see this months ago
"I art thou and thou art I." I had completely forgotten about that part! That almost killed me.
"Depends on how much Strike Witches we're watching."
Alex steals it.
So much love for this skit (and the LRR gang), and the art was awesome!
The first 50 seconds, they didn't actually film. They just left a camera on by accident and thus captured a random/normal morning. Then they wrote the rest of the ep around that.
P5R came to Xbox Game Pass a little bit ago. Thanks to that and playing the game, I have a deeper appreciation for this CH!
I somehow expected a darker ending?
The production values are fantastic though!
I liked the part where nobody got stabby. Also LK playing a cat
This was one of the Best cH episodes so far. thank you.
Man, I was loving this already (despite my only contact with Persona being other works referencing it) then outta fucking nowhere a Strike Witches joke! I unironically adore that show but damn that shade was so unexpectedly perfect I ain't even jokingly internet mad.
LOOKING COOL KATHLEEN!!!!!
Wowsers, you went all-out for this one, and I love it.
cH continues to be my favorite series from you guys next to Friday Nights.
This episode is so good! I don't even know all that much about persona and I love it! Also, Martin as Baxter is kinda perfect
Now that I'm finally playing persona I can definitively say this video is actually an absolute home run
Quite possibly one of my favorite cHustle's ever. Great job guys!
Extra production time was worth it. Fantastic all around.
OK, this is utterly, blissfully and amazingly wonderful!!!! Dear, LRR, thank you for all the mesmerizing content you create!
I'm sure this took a long time to make but it was great and now I want more like it! Great job!
I initially avoided this video because I was staunchly avoiding even incidental spoilers for P5, wanting to go in as blind as possible. I'm now about 40 hours into it on a borrowed PS4, and it just occurred to me to go back and watch this video. Worth the wait!
I appreciate the work that went into this highly.
The amount of work and production value that went in this episode is really impressive. Amazing job, great episode!
You do realize that this was fantastic? Well, in case you didn't. THIS WAS FANTASTIC! Holey moley, where to even start. I loved the camera focus change right at the beginning, the graphics couldn't have been better. Audio... worked! I could nitpick, but I won't because I didn't find any. Loved it!
SOME OF MY FAVORITE THINGS!!! LRR and P5 with a Little Kuriboh cameo? Plus I lost it at the weeaboo confidant.
Oh man you guys went deep on the persona work.
Good job, really well done!
Everything about this was wonderful. Thank you.
The flavor was spot on, I was grinning and laughing the entire way through. Awesome work LRR, and awesome work to Mike Lundsford and MangledPixel for the graphical parts as well :D THAT WAS AWESOME!
I never knew i needed this in my life until it arrived and it was glorious.
One of the best CH's In a while! So good!!
I've gotta say, this might be my favorite episode yet. Awesome work guys! This was legit as all heck
I like that between this episode and "Discovery" there's the implication that commidorehustle Beej and Heather keep their home and work life so separate that Kathleen met each of them individually, under completely different circumstances, before learning that they were married
Really funny. Especially loved the portraits and Baxter's perspective.
Not to take away from this episode's many amazing qualities and reduce it to basic LRR nostalgia, but to do exactly that damn do I miss seeing those end credits all the time
OH GOD MARTIN THIS IS AMAZING
There are not enough hands in the world to meet the amount of high-fives this episode deserves.
this is basically perfect. you guys are great.
That was really good! Where are these production values for Friday Nights? Geez...
Oh boy, I missed this 3 years ago because I was massively paranoid about spoilers and then forgot. Now I am laughing hysterically and kicking myself.
This may be my favorite episode of Commodore Hustle! SO MUCH KATHLEEN! And the Persona 5 stuff is tres excellente
I love how Baxter was a half-octave lower and SLIGHTLY less evil Freeza from DBZA! Awesome Episode, guys!
That Kathleen "sprite" is just on point, holy Heliod. I'd love to see the full art for all the "sprites" used in the video!
Great Episode! Loved the animation too. Would be happy if we came back to it again some time in the future.
Hahaha, James being called Ryuji is brilliant
Kickass production quality on this.
Ok, this is one of my favourite episodes now.
This is so well done, thank y'all for this, especially on this garbage-ass weekend.
One step closer to getting Martin on Sidewalk Slam! My two favourite wrestling contents in one blend!
Also, all of this was rad
Can I just say the art is amazing in this?!
Favorite LRR character being obsessed with my favorite game???? Hell fucking yes!!
dang, you can tell a lot of effort went into this
Okay, Baxter made me literally unable to even. This is the BEST CH now, and that's saying something because they're all so good.
Alex had an excellent last line. Those drawings were looked very accurate for anime. The voice for the cat was amusing. Overall effective +1 level up episode.
Yay an LRR video
I loved this! everything about it was perfect.
I really like the new depth this episode gives to Baxter's character.
I blew through P5 in my two weeks off work.
I've had similar exchanges about the time of day with my roommates four or five times.
I also lost two in-game weeks of progress once because I nodded off and got killed by the Reaper in Mementos...
This is amazing. Seriously, awesome work.
I'm only vaguely familiar with Persona but the graphics for this episode were amazing! I would totally play a flash game with the LRR crew in that style.
