This is nice that Pat and I were included in this. At the time it was unsettling to get used to Ian, then Pat [I lost interest after he came on board]. But now its good to see everyone together. Now if they could agree on the money issue, then maybe they could tour together.

What is the year this video was made? It was great to see Ian, Alan and Pat all together with the band again. Les was my favorite, then Ian came along. I loved them both. My childhood fantasies were crushed to learn what a first class jerk Les was. I think he still instigates arguments with the others. Cheating on his wife with men. Putting her life at risk for contracting AIDS on top of that. I commend him for giving up the drugs and alcohol, but I have passed on more than one opportunity to see him perform because he is not the person I imagined him to be, and not the sort of person I care to be around. Ian's death hit me like a ton of bricks this week. I have never been so upset over a celebrities death before. Might never be again. It was good to see him in this video. RIP Ian
I thought that Les may have changed his ways and stopped the bitterness and jealousy but I'm not so sure. I heard he is suing Woody because Woody is using the Bay City Roller name for his new group. It sounds like Les is envious of Woody's success. Must be bitter or he wouldn't be suing. It's sad. I feel sorry for them all, but Les needs to move on.
@@heiditate6989 I think Les has some mental issues that haven't been addressed. Personally, I feel like the name belongs to Derek and Alan, as they founded the group. Les has been using the name for years, so it is curious as to why he is suing Woody for doing the same? I think there was a previous lawsuit against Les for using the name. Not sure, but I think the court ruled that he had to include his name as a disclaimer. i.e. Les McKeown's Bay City Rollers.
Yes I think you're right about Les' mental issues. I wouldn't be surprised if their old manager Tam contributed to some of them! Woody and his group use the name The New Bay City Rollers. I would really like to see them if they come to the US somewhere fairly close. They play the old BCR songs and sound great. Eric is doing his own music too. I also really liked Ian and Pat. Unfortunately they didn't last long because of the manager and the bickering. Both were very talented. Ian's death upset me also because he died way too young. He was only 4 years older than me.
Having met Les a few times, he dies have a caring side , I had a family bereavement, but the family made me go on my trip to see les, one of my pals contacted him, and he saw me front of stage and he came over and did a heart in front of me, and I have seen him be like this a few times , the is not always a cocky sod .

I had the same question....where was Derek? Was this after they'd worked with Duncan? They all made odd choices after the main group split up....life is a process and everyone learns in their own way. This footage definitely is strange!
I know it is so funny when they are waiting for they turn and kid around.Noticed this quite many times when they are interviewed on tv in Japan that it must be difficult when you don't understand the language.Looks like they sort of ignoring boys till they ask some questions.It feels almost rude to me,,,Then again,that might be just me???
@AceDynasty79- Les shaved his head completely bald after this tour? Why did that happen? National tradition (being married to a Japanese person)? Losing a bet or fulfilling a promise amongst his soon-to-be ex-bandmates? Scottish "blackening" that wrecked his hair badly enough that he couldn't wash out the mess? Thank you for answering.
