Yeah you need both nuts. They are set to correct length from factory. I called Doug and he answered the phone and confirmed. Love the build quality. Hardest part was installing the plastic levers on the pins that hold it up. One wouldn’t seat properly and it rattled. But then I figured it out. Stable and quiet when off-road.
Ahhhh okay. The two nuts were jammed together out of the bag, and now I'm wondering if they were purposefully jammed together in the exact spot they needed to be for the IKEA magnet bar clearance. If so I actually screwed myself by removing those nuts. Assuming that's the case, it just needs a simple instruction manual update. It's not a huge deal-isn't like this is a difficult install to begin with. But if the wording isn't super clear, I tend to fall back on the pictures, and the picture clearly showed only one nut.
@@RagnarKon yep. That’s why I called to confirm. The guide is out of sync with the delivered parts. The way it’s delivered with the nuts locked in position is actually superior. It’s just not reflected in the guide. I gave him that feedback. But never hurts to tell him again!
I emailed Doug about it and he got back to me & said essentially the same thing he told you... so pinning your comment for visibility. _Thanks for the email and the video; that clears up any questions I would have had for you. The studs with the two back nuts on them were sent with the nuts prepositioned so the stud will screw into the blind nut to the correct depth. With the nut re-positioned, the stud is sticking out too far. I can send you a couple of studs with the nuts in the correct position along with some more blind nuts in case you may need them in the future._ _Thanks for the helping us understand that the install instructions need to be more clear and have a picture of the stud with the two nuts instead of a single._
I have had this table for 18 months. Still one of my favorite additions to my Bronco. It was originally a bit cheaper but their prices have come up. I literally gave away another table for free I was so happy with this one.
I considered the Trailgator initially then decided that it was too expensive! I purchased the Mabett version for $200 and it works great! Virtually the same functionality, durability and weight capacity plus it’s super easy to install!
I just picked up a Heritage Bronco for my wife and been binge watching your videos - you remind me a lot like my brother in law. Keep up the content! This table looks like a top contender for us!
It's definitely good, despite the price. They have different choices for the cutting board too-I'm sure if you email the guy at Outback Adventure Products he'll let you pick whatever pattern you want. Oh awesome! Did you buy it recently?? I went back and forth with Doug (the owner) about making the instructions a little more clear. So if you bought the table recently that suggests he did indeed improve the instructions, which is great.
I haven't made a decision on a tailgate table yet but am leaning toward the Broaddict table for $299. I have a hard time allowing myself to pay over $300 for something that seems so simple and with free shipping from Amazon the Broaddict barely qualifies. $500 ? Nope , No , Not Even LOL.
Let’s see ya make it cheaper with quality components. If it was possible, someone would have done it by now. Waiting on American Adventure Labs to decide between this or theirs.

It all depends on one’s value and needs. Personally for me to pricey and doesn’t really fit my needs. But everyone is different.
