I got the same one 3 years ago , I have used it for 16 inch wheels both car and motorcycles . I have a 1-1/4 pipe I drop into the center hole that I use of car wheels and 2 ratchet straps to stop the wheel from turning . I got a NO mar Bar 100 $ best tool for the money . So far I paid off everything doing my own tires and a harbor freight tire balancer ebay 60 $ I run 70 mph no troubles . DIY

Doesn’t say “motorcycle” in the title or description but this looks like the motorcycle tire changer that often has the clamps on backwards in the stock photos. 😂

The threads are NOT reverse threads. They SHOULD BE. You have to think about it.

It's really weird that you had to grind the blade for the bead breaker. I have the same tire changer from eBay and I have no problem at all with it. Mine doesn't get stuck at all. In fact, I just went out to see how you're could possible need grinding. My breaker doesn't even come close to having the problem you mention and it swivels with free movement over the entire range. The only thing I can think of is may you installed the tube that the lever goes in backwards. I didn't test that but that must be what you did. You can even watch the bead breaker of this tire changer being used in other YT videos and no grinding was done. Go reverse the section that the handle fits into and you'll almost certainly find that you didn't have to grind anything.
Also, the threads on the adjuster are NOT left-handed and I'm not sure why you would go to the trouble and expense to change it. Stop and think about it: With a "normal" right-handed thread bolt, when you loosen it (turn it counter-clockwise), it will push whatever it's attached to away - such as a nut, for example. And, in the same way, turning the adjuster of this tire changer counter-clockwise will PUSH the rim clamp away to tighten it on the rim. That's exactly what this does. What you want - to tighten the wheel by turning the adjuster clockwise would actually require you to change it to a left-handed thread and machining the block the threaded rod screws into and then making an insert and threading it left-handed. It's not just a matter of replacing a nut. The entire special block would have to be machined and welded. You would also have to find a long left-handed threaded rod of the correct size and a left-handed die to cut left-handed threads. Good luck with that! You're clearly confusing this because you're probably thinking that you usually tighten things by turning screws clockwise. In any case, I'm not sure why you see this as a frustrating problem anyway, let alone one that you would go to extremes of time and expense to change when it's already functioning exactly the way it should. Just turn it the right way to tighten it on the rim and turn it the other way to loosen it from the rim. What's the problem? Is reversing the direction if you turn it wrong such a huge problem? And if you do go crazy and modify it, you're going to spend far more time making the modification than any time you might save in figuring out which direction to turn it. And how often do you change tires anyway? If you do change tires frequently, you should easily remember what way to turn the adjuster. If you only change them infrequently, you wouldn't save more than a few seconds at most anyway and even that would be because you mistakenly think the rod has left-hand threads. Go out and look at it. Turn the handle clockwise? What happens. It moves the rim holder towards you just as if it was a nut. That LOOSENS the rim holder as it should. And if you modify it as you mentioned, you're going to have to find a long LEFT-HANDED threaded rod and nut that fits the housing. If you forget and turn it in the wrong direction, you just turn it the other way. What's the big frustrating deal? Do you really find this to be so frustrating? I get the impression that you may have a bit of OCD. And I suspect that you're doing something wrong with the bead breaker even though I can't imagine what that might be because you don't have to grind it. Maybe you had the bolts inserted in the wrong holes. My identical one swings perfectly freely. I'm stumped by what problem you may have with that. Again, I wish you had shown it having the problem you describe.
So, the two complaints you have are because 1) You installed the breaker tube backwards and - 2) You are confused about how threads work and mistakenly thing the tightener has left-handed threads. Or, to put it another way, the entire video is incorrect and useless. (If I were you, I would delete it after you go out and see where your mistakes are because it serves no purpose except to show you goofed.)
Lastly, the title of your video is "ebay tire changer. Worth it?" You never answered that question.

One reviewer of the Olympia Tools manual tire changer on Amazon had the exact same problem with the bead breaker handle and it was because the hole was drilled too far away from the edge of the tube (it was round instead of square like this one). Mine is the Harbor Freight Pittsburgh version of the exact same unit and mine wasn’t an issue. I can see in the pictures that he does not have it backwards. That this same mistake has happened across two different designs should tell you something.
Another Amazon review shows the mounting tab for the bead breaker arm is welded to the wrong part so it doesn’t line up with the foot where you are supposed to place the wheel while breaking the bead.
I just bought the new black one since my 12 year old unit is missing the post cap (had the motorcycle attachment installed instead). Unfortunately, the post cap is completely mangled from the factory. The Acme thread is buggered and you can see there was a void in the threaded rod where they cut it. The rod is bent and the weld is almost non-existent. The tab on ton that you are supposed to tighten using the mount/demount bar is only rack welded on the corners with an open gap underneath. All these errors were just painted right over. I can’t even spin the post cap on/off since it’s crooked and rubs the post. Since I only bought the new machine for the post cap it’s going right back to the store.
Point is: These things are poorly made and there are plenty of manufacturing errors. Like it or not, you just spotted one in this video.

I just went out and checked and, sure enough, you installed the tube that bolts onto the main frame and what you insert the handle into. Take out the bolt, reverse it and you'll see your error and how you ground it needlessly. On top of that, the end that the handle inserts into is the end that has two mounting holes for lever. The way you installed it, you can't adjust how far the level is out from the main unit. I mean no disrespect but I'm amazed that you didn't figure this out and, for some odd reason, you thought the adjustem screw for the adjustable rim clamp was left- handed. I hope you figured out your mistake there by now. I said this before but you really should delete this video. And that's for two reasons: 1) Your two complaints were wrong. You simply goofed. and, 2) This video doesn't make you look too bright. But there's a third reason and that is that the incorrect information in this video could mislead someone who is thinking of buying one of these or someone who just got one but hasn't used it yet. You may be offended by what I've shown you but I guarantee you you're going to slap your forehead and feel pretty dumb when you go out and check these two things and find out you ground a bunch of metal off needlessly.
