I’m a performer as well and it’s a major reason why I haven’t loc’d my hair but I think this is the year. I loved how I felt when I had more faux locs and wearing my natural hair is too high maintenance for me so I stay on a wig. This was inspiring. Thank you.

USE YOUR OLD WEAVES I bought the hooks for my hair from amazon I actually made the locs on my head as I attached the hair to my natural hair straight from the weave. also recycle your old human hair weaves do not throw away turn them into locs and into money you can always sell pre made locs

Yea! girl...good to see something different. I was considering permanently locking my hair but have a short amount of hair and didn't want to go through that stage of loc (also like long hair ),so I opted for a faux loc look it's have been great this whole month...

I finally found someone in my area who does them. I have my consult on 22 July & hopefully I can get them done soon after. My hair is short and we just need to make sure she can start them with my hair at this length. 🤞🏾 or if I need to grow my hair a bit more.

Yes I'm so glad you said sexy, because locs are so sexy and cute. I'm in the process of installing my empress locs, but mines are synthetic. I don't plan on taking them out, I'm just going to let my natural hair grow out.

Hi, I’m taking a chance that you will be able to respond since I know this is an older video. I have for over five years been debating about joining the loc community. I am ready to join. I’ve had several people tell me that I am not going to be able to like my hair my hair is too soft, my hair so fine after wearing soft Locs and keeping them in my head for 3 to 4 months in my hair ending up matting itself together I realize that people don’t know what they’re talking about my hair can loc. The style is looked at several videos and she looked at yours to see how your hair extensions were done and she said that she could loc my hair with braiding and extensions and wrapping method. As far as maintenance she really liked the way your style is twisted and then kind interlocked the combination of the two.
My question for you with starting is the width like how wide of a lock would you recommend? What’s the diameter or the width of your loc, and as far as length extensions, what is the link extension you got? How many locs did you start off with? I want the volume and fullness. I don’t like to see the spaces in my head .

I’ve never seen permanent ones. This is so interesting to me. Mine are mid length now and I started mine with two strand twist then began to interlock. I couldn’t change mine now but I want some extensions bad. I’m sick of how mines look. This is my 4th set.

Can you please tell me what method you used to install the Goddess locs initially? Also, when you say you get it retwisted every 4 months do you mean there is no relocing prior to that, just raw new growth? Looking forward to your answers and so happy to follow your journey. Will you cut them as your real locs grow out?
That is was certainly my intention when I got them too. Now Depending on the size of my natural locs I might keep them. I also would rather have the extensions with color rather than dye my real dreads. So I might consider keeping extensions for those purposes.

Thank you so much! My natural hair is 4c. It isn't too soft now hard. In the middle. I have a video coming that will show you my hair after I took out these Locs recently and installed a fresh batch!

Hey Love. You mentioned the 2nd time that you got goddess locs done you weren't crazy about them bc you used a different type of hair. What type of hair was that and what made you want to try that type? (I'm assuming that it provided a different type of look to the locs than the hair you have in now?).......Also did you experience any stiffness with your locs after your 3rd/final permanent install using the dr Kari hair?...... The second time I did my install, the hairstylist then chose the hair and told me it would look great but I just didn't like the end result.
Stiffness has happened in the beginning of all the times I have installed this hair. It goes away in a few weeks, but initially yes. I know it catches many people off guard, but if you can just be patient a short while, and you will be very happy. Also I made a video on showing how you can loosen the hair with a steamer or hot shower steam. It worked for me when I first started and I loved it...

Thank you so much for watching and commenting. I would recommend human hair 100% because they are lighter and look more real than synthetic to me. I think the size of the loc depends on your hair type. I would For-sure consult with your loctician first so they can examine your hair and see what is best for you. For me I had to do round parts because of how my hair line is set up. Also mine had to be bigger in certain areas and smaller in other. Also depending on how much volume you want for the locs. There is a-lot of factors you have to consider and it is specific to your head only. Hope that helps! 🙏🏽✨😊🌙
