    Loved my v2, bought it second hand for 80€.
    Never in my life would I buy a trainer for 270€ (which are 230gbp)! NB is absolutely mental for their pricing in Europe. The shoe costs 100 bucks more here than in the US.

    I bought two pairs of V1 from outlet for CAD100. Recently got the endorphin pro 2 and Mizuno flash 2 at similar price as well. If you don't need the latest model you can still get running shoes for reasonable price.

    Superblast v1 and v2 made me stop trying other supertrainers. For me, no one delivers what they do in terms of marathon training. SC trainer v3 might be one more shoe I pass by even looking a good shoe

    @CorGP Před 13 dny

    Haven’t ran in this one but from the looks and review they made this one more of an actually trainer. Luckily I have 2 pair of V2s, I race and do my long runs in the V2.

    It's crazy how the pricing is so different. The SC Trainer v3 and Hyperion Max 2 are the price in the US at $180 and the Superblast is $200.

    Many says that running shoes are expensive. I think it's one of the cheapest exercise/sport you can do. I mean, a good mountainbike cost from 3000 euro up to 10000. If you play golf you have to buy the clubs and a membership. Waterskiing, you have to have a boat that cost a lot and gas to run it etc etc. So to pay 200-250 euro for a really good pair of running shoes is actually really cheap :)

    I have a "normal" shaped foot and I loved V1. V3 is a little tight in the toe box. A little rubbing on my big toe. Hopefully with a little stretching out that will go away.

    It's another shoe that sounds awesome but I'd never use. Long runs with pace I use an older pair of Vaporfly's and long runs without I head to the trails and use the Trabuco Max 2.

    Thanks for the review Fordy! I've been on the fence on this one. You compared the SC Trainer v3 to the Kinvaro Pro which is a very stiff shoe. How would you compare it to the Nike Zoom Fly 5? I'm trying to see if the SC v3 gets a little less firm after break in period. Thanks

  • @MrBrettStar
    @MrBrettStar Před 20 dny

    Ok, I took the plunge, reasons being, I already have the elite but don’t want to wear them all of the time, the other options you provided aren’t available in 2e (at least in Australia), I have the Mach 6 in 2e but still found it too tight across the foot compared to this and other 2e shoes.

    Thanks for review..in Malaysia is about USD180 after conversion. So have no idea why its priced so expensive in the UK! Been seeing so many polarising reviews on this, you're one the first to like it while others like Yowana seem to can it by saying these are unremarkable. Ive ordered mine should be getting it soon..looking forward to run in them.
    I really wonder if the price of the shoes clouds the actual feeling how these are to run in? Would the reviews be favourable if say it was priced at USD150 for example?

  • @mkmstillstackin
    @mkmstillstackin Před 16 dny

    Thanks for this review! Strongly considering this one. Never owned an SC Trainer before, but I'm a fan of NBs, in general, & have owned several other NB models before, including currently the Rebel V4 and the SC Elite 3. I've really loved the SC Elite 3 and am slowly warming up to the Rebel V4, even though the ride is a wee bit firmer than ideal for me. I'm hoping the SC Trainer feels slightly more cushiony than the Rebel V4. How would you compare the relative cushiness of the SC Trainer 3 vs. the Rebel V4? Is there really a cushioning difference or is energy return more where the differences are noticeable? (Note: I'd also consider the Superblast, but I much more prefer shoes with less drop (6MM's or less), such as NBs, Hokas, and Altras.)

    🤣🤣🤣🤣 New Balance prices in Europe in the last year or two completely out of touch. And they are still second tier shoes, especially with their peba foam. Blend this, blend that. But you pay an arm and a leg for that. The only "reasonably priced" (not, but better than other models) shoe is Rebel, but nowhere to be found. Sold in less than few weeks.

    Would you prefer running a marathon in the SC Trainer V3 or Superblast 2? I managed to get my hands on both but I’m not sure which one I want to wear for Chicago, and which to return. SC Trainer feels like a lot less shoe, but the Superblast feels bouncier. I’ll finish somewhere around 3:50
