I bought these with my own cash for £195 from SPORTSSHOES here in the UK.

It costs $330 in Australia which is the same price as Asics Metaspeed Sky Paris! I think $280 is a reasonable price for this type of shoe in the Aus market but $330 is too expensive (at least for me). Then again the Mizuno Neo Vista and Asics Superblast are steeply priced too at $320. It's a Nay from me.

I like the v2 a lot for easy long runs as it feels and rides very smooth for me. I couldn't make the v1 work for me either - too bouncy and heavy and I also had problems getting a good lockdown with the upper. I think I'll pass on the v3 as it seems the Cielo X1 does everything this one does and more.

This is one of those models that varies so much between updates, and causes so many different reviews. I have a pair of the V1’s that I’m using as I have a bit of an injury and the massive amount of foam is really helping me. However, yes they are heavy. I recently switched back to my Superblasts and the difference is really noticeable but they are nowhere near as bouncy and a bit harder to run in over longer distances. The rocker design in the v1 works well. The v2 was a very different design and some v1 owners hated it, others loved it. With the v3 NB have played with the design again, and like last time the feedback has been very mixed. I am a heavier runner at the moment (85kg) and the V1 is really helping me stay injury free so I may run the Great North Run in them because although they are on the heavier side, they keep my legs rolling along nicely and at the moment that’s what I need. Not sure why they are so pricey in the UK, I think the V1 was the same but I got mine on sale anyway. However the build quality is pretty good, I’ve had some pairs of Nike and they just fall apart after a certain distance but maybe I was unlucky! 😂

Hi Edd, just got a pair with the sportsshoes 25%discount - which made the price palatable. Had/have both previous versions and they are all completely different.
Only one 7 mile run at marathon pace.
Very rigid, but still enough cushion. I think it will flex and soften up though.
Will be using this on alternative long-runs for marathon block - V2 slower, V3 faster.
One issue I have is the toebox on one shoe - it almost feels like the last is angled incorrectly. I can feel my big toe rubbing on the inside, but didn't overly bother me.
Jury is out until this weekend's long run.

Much stiffer and narrower (got a few blisters even with my Injinji socks) than the Rebel v4 which I love for my recovery and speed runs. Good value for me here in the US but not sure I'd buy again.
