Though the ending of the original 1933 King Kong was in turn a tribute to the ending of the original 1925 Lost World film. in the 1912 Lost World novel, Conan Doyle had had the characters bring a pterodactyl back to London, but it just escaped and flew away. The 1925 movie version decided that wasn't scary enough, so they changed it to a brontosaurus, that escapes and wreaks havoc in central London, smashing the Tower Bridge etc. That's the scene that inspired King Kong's rampage in NYC eight years later.

As far as we can tell from the fossil record they would bite and then roughly tear/jerk flesh away from large prey which would be devastating due to the trex having the strongest bite force of any land creature to walk the earth, a Trex biting you say across your chest would shatter your shoulder plate spine and every rib basically cutting you right in half if it got you at your waist or mid section. What it would do next would not only break every remaining bone possible but would likly cause you to tear apart is when in its jaws it would shake you side to side hard on order to swallow you more easily. Again this is all best guess based on what we can observe in modern day animals and comparing that to what we see in the fossils. To be fair you'd probably die from the immediate shock of getting bitten down on by a Rex fairly quickly but yeah given the massive Hollywood explosion the vehicle's cause I'm for sure choosing Clift.

The reason Dieter died is because the Compys bites have Melatonin in them and so many biting him at once made him dizzy and unable to fight back. That's why they stalked him after attacking him, they were waiting for him to get to weak to defend himself and finish him off. It's not a real trait of the Compys but it was in the first book so I guess Spielberg just used it here

The original ending of the movie was going to take place on the island in the worker village. They were going to have the survivors riding motorcycles away from the velociraptors and end up parasailing, when all of a sudden a flock of pterodactyls come and attack the rescue helicopters. The pterodactyls kill one of the pilots by piercing him with its beak. They later used the motorcycle with the raptors and the pterodactyl attack in the first Jurassic World movie. You’ll see a pattern in the movies that they use a bunch of ideas in later films.

the little girl who was attacked by the compsognathus is also in Rolland Emmerich's Ice Age movie called 10,000 BC. The girl's attack is why John Hammond is no longer in charge of INGEN because the girl's family filed a lawsuit against Mr Hammond and he lost lawsuit and his job.

To answer: Mauled to death. You might survive the fall only to bleed out helpless with a shattered skeleton or drown slowly in the ocean spray. Tyrannosaur had the most powerful bite of any terrestrial predator, past or present. A common hunting tactic was to bite onto the HORN of a Triceratops and BREAK IT OFF. Aside from the whole torn in half bit, one bite literally turns you into spaghetti sauce. The chunky kind.

I'm not sure if the movie is the same as the book but:
If you stood still the Tyrannosaurs would still see you.
The Buck and the Doe are a different genetic build of Dinosaurs from Rexy from the First One.
in the book of the Lost World at least, someone dies because they think if they stand still they'll be invisible.
But then get ripped apart by the Parents because he stepped on the Infant's leg injuring it.
    _
The Lost World book makes the movie seem like a regular walk through the Park, heh
